The value of doing one thing at a time

The value of doing one thing at a time

For many of us, our self worth can be strongly linked to our productivity. Whether it’s our natural tendency or years of conditioning, it’s time to untangle our worth from our output. Piling a ton of items onto our To Do list can lead to complexity, overwhelm and inefficiency. In this episode I discuss the value of focusing on one or only a few things at a time and how I’m applying this in my own life.

Walking Te Araroa with Just a Backpack with Kirsten Owens - Walking the Long Pathway New Zealand

Walking Te Araroa with Just a Backpack with Kirsten Owens - Walking the Long Pathway New Zealand

This episode’s podcast guest is extremely special. She’s one of my best longtime friends, Kirsten Owens. During several months in 2017 and 2018, Kirsten walked Te Araroa, also known as The Long Pathway of New Zealand, carrying a modest pack of belongings with her. Te Araroa is one of the world’s longest walking trails. We discuss Kirsten’s journey which took several months, as well as minimalism, consumerism and the importance of our relationships and experiences over stuff.

How to reduce your screen time - minimising your mindless scrolling

How to reduce your screen time - minimising your mindless scrolling

I have a confession to make...I’m not very minimalist with my screen time. And I don’t mean the productive, business growing, connection building screen time. I mean unproductive, unintentional, mindless, zombie-ing out screen time! But I’m well aware of it and here’s what I’m doing to fix that.
