with Dave Bulmer and Chris McFeely
#84 - Rubber Chicken
Here's the thing. 26 years ago this week, I wrote a song onnnn the Amiiiiiiga, and you're going to hear that song this episode, and you're never going to un-hear it. It will never leave your head, ever again. You will sing along with it. I apologise. (I don't.) Plus! Just what is a superhero and why doesn't Dave know? Why can't Sonic trust the pigs? Who's the Pink Man in the Green Man? Harmless Auld Rot!
#83 - I've Got A Fridge And That's A Fact
This issue we blow open the whole stinkin' operation of the Graphic Zone with our EXCLUSIVE SCOOP about their nefarious practises. Plus! Metmorphia's story ends, and Dave composes a silly ditty.
Sonic Holiday Special '96 - I Lean Towards The Egg
Is there any better feeling than the first day of the summer hols? And what happens when childhood summers end? We get very silly and giggly in this, the FINAL, and undoubtedly the BEST STC special.
#82 - How To Crack Nanna Up
WHAT was the Chewits monster called? HAS Super Sonic killed his friends? WILL Robotnik defeat Brutus? WHAT's going on with Sonic's crotch in this one? Plus: Tails' sexy pants! More flippin golf! STCTP: even chewier than Barrow-in-Furness bus depot!
#81 - The Omni-Pooer (with Stuart Gipp @Stupacabra)
Ha ha ha ha ha ha! That's what you'll say if you a) listen to this episode with our Retronauts guest Stuart Gipp, or kill all your animal friends in an uncontrolled "fury", like Sonic does this issue. Also: no golf games are not good, STUART.
#80 - Nobody's Ever Been Hurt by a Hexagon - with Jon Lock (@jonlockcomics)
It's the One. THE Super Sonic story starts here. It's a longer episode, but we had to really get into this. You know it, it's famous, and this is it. Also: what's going on with Gex, Chris rolls a six, and power water gun cow suit.
Great energy from these two! Also fun to hear about British nostalgia for the 90’s
Good. Yes. Listen. Mmm.
Downloaded this podcast thing just to give it a rating, heh. I’ve known about this podcast for a while, and was meaning to give it a listen, as well as a read of STC itself, as I didn’t grow up even close to where it was sold and definitely didn’t exist in the 90’s. Sadly, was one of those Archie people (But I only really got into it when it was actually really good so that’s nice). Dave and Chris always make this a fun listen, and its just nice hearing people talk about cool old things they like! I haven’t caught up to the series yet, but ah well. Always a joy to listen to the sweet sounds of Sonic the Comic while Sonic the Comic do the intro to Sonic the Comic where they read Sonic the Comic.
I may be a smelly archist and young so I don’t know much of the cool blue one but this is the best way to know what was going on in England in the 90’s so thank you guys so much keep rolling on
