I enjoy being a member of the AAPL and after learning about this podcast at the June 2023 conference in Chicago I’ve enjoyed a few of these episodes. But my goodness, the music is so silly. I’m a young provider, 6 years from residency, and a pediatrician so frequently in golf shirts in summer, never a white coat - that is to say not uptight or stuffy. The intro and ending music for this is so tacky and bad though! First the beachy rift and then the sign off “Bada bing bada boom” ? May I suggest just using the 2nd of the 3 musical interludes in all 3 spots? Many pods have their “sound” anyhow, so no need for 3 unique ones. My humble recommendation is all. But keep recording, I’ve liked many of these!

Great Practical Podcast for HC Leaders & Leaders-to-be. It consistently features guests offering practical tips as well as more general thoughts and concepts on the business and leadership sides of medicine. This is not the place to go for a review of the most recent and relevant literature on eg COPD management. But it is helpful for aspects such as running a medical practice or an entire health system, figuring out how to make a certain type of impact on healthcare, advancing to or thriving in a leadership role, or understanding why things are as they are so you can better navigate through and help people. Yes, sometimes I don’t have time for the banter, but it’s kept minimal, and that’s what the “fwd” button is for if necessary.

Excellent podcast. I’d like to ask for maybe an episode on peer review committees! I would think this would apply well to all specialties. Thanks for your hard work!
