Episode 104: The Mike Dilisio AireCon, also with The Dice Tower

Dan and I are known for our encyclopedic knowledge of most things in life. Board games? Sure. Puddings? Absolutely. Mechanical Engineering? Obviously.
What many people don't realize is that we are also experts in AI technology and the societal and moral implications therein. Well, after this episode, there will be no question. Honorary Doctorates will assuredly be forthcoming.
In addition to that, in this episode we also cover:
"Horse or Human": Dan's new game show, soon airing on Netflix, with host Carrot Top. Minecraft: The new hotness. Mr. Beast: King of Tik-Tok Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson: A very real boxing match. The Luddite Movement: Rage Against the Machine. AireCon and Dice Tower West Whew. That's most podcast's content for an entire year. Our generosity knows no limits.

Episode 103: Cross Coastal Con Chat: Including a MAJOR EXCLUSIVE ANNOUNCEMENT!

Can it be so soon? It seems like only 2 months ago that a Sporadically Board episode came crashing through the Internet to wash over your earholes in a soothing wave. Well, it's true. We're back, and we come to you with a MAJOR EXCLUSIVE ANNOUNCEMENT!
You, our beloved listeners, are being given a worldwide exclusive announcement before it gets revealed to the teeming masses of the ignorant. You, just by virtue of having impeccable taste in podcasts, will be able to tease, infuriate, and frustrate your friends and loved ones by withholding this major announcement and holding it over their heads like an informational Sword of Damocles.
If that wasn't enough, we also discuss such hot button topics as:
The Suffragette Movement David Bowie The flu and bronchitis The Dice Tower Cruise Rat infested cottage vacations Sean, Ronan and Mike vs. Dan, Matthew and Richard in a steel cage death match ...and so much more!
All of this, plus A Few Acres of Rubbish.
Here is the incredibly long link to the Cora Quest: Keep on Questing! contest discussed in the episode:

Episode 102: Kentucky Derby Special - with The Board Game Snobs

Episode 102: Kentucky Derby Special - with The Board Game Snobs

This episode was DEMANDED by the entire Board Game Snobs Community, and let me tell you, that guy was super annoying.
Gaby and Jerry join us to talk about...
    ...honestly I have no idea.
We played a couple of game shows, one by Dan and one by Jerry.
We talked about Jerry living in an area known primarily for death.
We proposed ridiculous insurance claim scenarios for Gaby.
Dan talked about windshield screens, whatever those are.
I'm sure I talked about stuff.
Also, Jerry got progressively more affected by all the Kentucky Derbys.
All this, plus we almost talked about board games.
Co-Starring: A Few Acres of Rubbish.
With Special Guest Star: Ricardo Montalban

Episode 101: Don't Worry, Kelp is on the Way - with Carl Robinson

Episode 101: Don't Worry, Kelp is on the Way - with Carl Robinson

After the multimedia extravaganza that was Episode 100, we keep the fireworks going by inviting first time guest and first time designer Carl Robinson. Carl has designed Kelp, a two-player asymmetrical game that offers players a unique opportunity to delve into the natural world of Pyjama Sharks and Common Octopuses, set in a South African kelp forest. Those were absolutely my words alone, and not a cut and paste from Board Game Geek.
In addition to discussing the story behind that game, Dan, Carl and Mike have a wide ranging conversation that includes, but isn't limited to:
Dan's impressions of this year's Essen Spiel which he absolutely did not attend. Mike and Carl's impressions of this year's Essen Spiel which they absolutely did attend. Kendal Mint Cake. Urinal Cakes, plus bonus toilet discussion. Extra bonus toilet serenades. Teaching children how to play Poirot. How people in the North of England count sheep. All of this, plus Dan's Soundtrack game, A Few Acres of Rubbish, and a disgusting amount of board game discussion.

    Episode 99: Magically Delicious

    Episode 99: Magically Delicious

Episode 99. You know how sometimes when there's some kind of big numerical milestone looming on a podcast, the episode just before it is a lackluster placeholder type of episode? Well, we were going to do that but Gaby was unavailable, so instead Dan and I come to you with this episode that is chock full of spicy, saucy, sassy, succulent, spectacular content. Also, lots of poop talk.

    Tune in to hear...
A BRAND NEW game that Dan actually prepared beforehand! A new segment called, "Talkin' Beer Here with Dan Hughes" Where Dan formulates his ideas. Duty Free Shops, and their infringement on our freedoms. TONS of discussion about Ireland: Dan's recent trip there, and his thoughts on prices. More thoughts on prices. Museums. Prices. Amphibious boats. Tipping in Dublin. Or lack thereof. Prices. Why everyone in the UK dips their chips in Guinness beer. Some game talk! A Few Acres of Rubbish.

Episode 98: Flipping Lorcana For Cold Hard Bathroom Tiles

Episode 98: Flipping Lorcana For Cold Hard Bathroom Tiles

Well, what do you know? Another freshly baked episode comes piping hot out of the SpoBo oven, and it's ready for your hungry ears. I'd blow on it first if I were you, but I'll also understand if you're willing to char your canals if you just can't wait.
In this episode, Mike and Dan discuss:
Dan's bathroom renovation Dan's family vacation to Canterbury Dan's 5 star meal in Canterbury Uncle Ben's Mexican Rice (see above) 2 Falafel (see above above) Mike's globetrotting Gen Con Dan's can't miss plan to pay for his bathroom renovation (see way above) by flipping Lorcana cards All of this, PLUS everyone's favorite game, Brown Bread, and A Few Acres of Rubbish!

A great second choice

Look, I love these guys. They are my podcast fam. They have tried so hard to be like the Board Game Snobs Podcast and they are really good and enjoyable and fun. And while they aren’t BGS (Board Game Snobs established September 2017 the OG podcast about nothing) they are fantastic. Both hosts are lovable and funny and insightful. The only other podcast I listen to besides Board Game Snobs. Have I mentioned the Board Game Snobs? Love ya Mike and Dan!!!!

Good podcast when Dan controls himself

Episode 86, “Thanks Conservative government.” - Dan Hughes

Tuition fees were introduced in the UK for non-international students by a LABOUR government in 1998.

Political commentary does not belong in a board game podcast. But if Dan cannot help himself he can at least be accurate. And if you do not like being fact checked, there is an easy fix for that.

Still my favorite

This continues to be my favorite podcast month after month. I love the dynamic that Mike and Dan have together. It’s honest, it’s funny, and it’s always entertaining.
