Stories in the Room: Michael Jackson's Thriller Album

I am so glad I came across this show! Hearing stories from the creatives behind the greatest selling album of all time, is actually PRICELESS content. I can’t wait to see where this show goes and who else gets involved in this VERR VERY special project. I would 10/10 recommend this to anyone who loves Music, Michael Jackson, synthesizers, and learning from the greats.

I know the Thriller album inside and out, (as well as the entire MJ catalog) and I love that this exists. I would love to hear a similar podcast about OFF THE WALL. The best episodes here are the ones with fellow musicians like Greg, Paul, etc really breaking down the instrumental parts of songs and the creative process. Some episodes tend to go off on tangents about MJ as a person, completely outside of this album. Sometimes a question is asked and instead of answering it, the guest just rambles about ‘how brilliant MJ was…blah blah blah’. Yes yes we know that already…that’s why we are listening. Stick to details…stick to info that is not known to the general public…including music producers like myself. And edit out the awkward pauses…it sounds like they’ve run out of things to talk about. This is a very special podcast and shouldn’t be wasted on generic commentary. I fully support this…but less rambling…more gems please.

Did I miss the episode where Jeff Porcaro and Steve Lukather saved the entire Beat it Track? Also, Luke wrote and played the guitar parts for Beat it and Human Nature. Eddie played the rippin’ solo but it was Luke who drove that track. What would human nature be without that guitar part? Lukather deserved writing credit.
