Since the beginning of time there has been storytellers. Before the advanced technology that we have today history was passed through word of mouth. In Western African culture storytellers were called Griots. They would be the keepers of all the stories in the village, and pass them on by music, poem, or spoken verse. It's said when a Griot died it was like a library being burned down, so the Griots passed their abilities through their bloodline. I like most of you have always been fascinated with stories. Since childhood we probably all could remember getting lost in a good story tellers tale. In this podcast storyteller and international speaker and author Cornell Thomas, will be interviewing and eclectic group of people from all over the world. His mission is to find the stories in their lives that shaped who they are today.

Cornell has a rare, warm accessibility and tells stories that keep you captivated with a smile

He knows how to tell a great story no matter how big or small in scope. And as you’re listening, you realize he’s planted a smile on your face that stays throughout. Yes, there’s humor for sure—I laughed out loud while listening—but beyond that, he is moving. His stories have impactful messages about leading your best life, but he’s not at all heavy-handed with it. Cornell delivers with finesse. He has this gift where you feel like you’re sitting around the table, just totally entertained while listening to endearing and funny anecdotes. Can’t wait to keep tuning in!
