Episode 131: Tyre Nichols - What Went Wrong and The Need For Servant Officers
Dean discusses his observations and thoughts on the Tyre Nichols case in Memphis and how law enforcement must become servant officers. In many ways, this case was more egregious than George Floyd because America saw that it is the culture within departments and not necessarily race that is driving these types of responses among law enforcement. Dean calls for the creation of new types of officers who balance the heart of a servant with the mindset of a warrior. What we need are servant officers in our communities. It's what our communities want and expect from law enforcement. Be sure to read his blog about this topic as well at http://www.lhln.org

Episode 129: School Safety After Uvalde with San Bernadino's Unified School District Chief Joseph Paulino
In this discussion, Dean facilitates a discussion of what all levels of law enforcement can learn to help make our schools as safe as the airways. While the Uvalde report is referenced, all guests focus on a proactive path forward from what can be learned so that this type of incident never happens again. His special guest is Chief Joseph Paulino, a long-tine friend of Dean's and career-long leader in safety programs and initiatives in schools, hospitals, and other public spaces. They are joined by Kelle Corvin, LHLN Director of Operations/Business Development who also served as a school parent volunteer, PTA president in the 49th largest school district in the country and the largest in South Carolina, Greenville Schools. It's a wide-ranging discussion of what school districts can and should be doing and how local law enforcement can support them as well as what parents should know to ask regarding school safety.

Leadership on a whole new level!!!
After attending the Intentional Leadership and the Master Leader and Presenter classes (I HIGHLY recommend both! They will change your life and how you view leadership!), I have listened to this podcast on a more frequent basis than before. It’s like I’m in class all over again but without getting to speak. These podcasts definitely keep me refreshed and going while continuing to build my leadership skills to fulfill my purpose. Thanks Dean for sharing all your wisdom on leadership that can be used not only in our professional lives but our personal lives as well.
Outstanding podcast on Leadership
I just met Kelly today in Randolph Massachusetts. Dean was teaching a class that I heard from cops was an outstanding class. Although I have followed Dean and his work including his book, I had not heard of the podcast until today. Simply put I listened to a couple of episodes and it is outstanding. It science based but what I love is he brings the art of leadership and field research into it. Theory is great but this putting leadership into practice is the key. This podcast will help all leaders from the frontline to the administration in improving their style and effectiveness.

Your lessons are great and the leadership advice you give is definitely it in the BS zone.
Keep up the great success at LHLN and this podcast.
