Syracuse basketball falls below .500 with Kiyan Anthony watching courtside

Syracuse Sports

Brent Axe recaps Syracuse basketball's 81-71 loss to Wake Forest at the JMA Dome on New Year's Eve.

SU fell to 6-7 (0-2) with top recruit Kiyan Anthony watching courtside. The more SU slides down the hill in the 2024-25, the more fans will start looking ahead to what Anthony's Orange will look like next year. In the meantime, Brent talked about hiw Adrian Autry has to switch up his starting line-up with Chris Bell's sustained struggles. Lucas Taylor and Kyle Cuffe Jr. gave SU a lift off the bench against Wake Forest. Can they be a consistent 1-2 punch for SU into ACC play?

Axe also discussed the main New Year's resolution SU has to make about starting off games better and where some of the inconsistencies on defense and #FreeThrowsMatter need to improve.

Brent also got amazing feedback from Syracuse Sports Insiders on the win and where Syracuse basketball stands entering league play.
