What brings you joy? That’s where we start today’s conversation about mental health.
Tramaine El-Amin is joining us from the National Council for Mental Well-Being. She's vice president for a program called Mental Health First Aid. The course teaches you where to start with conversations about mental health as well as where to go and where not to go.
This conversation includes a mnemonic for how to be there for our co-workers, discussion of how gen z is getting mental health attitudes right, and a call to be more transparent about what you’re doing to take care of yourself.
It’s not always easy to bring up this topic at work so today's question comes from me:
“How should we be talking about mental health? From entry level employee to executive, what training do we need and what conversations should we be having?”
