    Even though they live in the Promised Land and have God’s law, the Israelites still sin! They turn away from God to worship idols. Kings come and go, but none are obedient to the Lord. So, God brought a drought to dry up the land of Israel. One day, God sent a prophet named Elijah to challenge the rebellious king and his false prophets to a contest to prove their idols are powerless.     Season One of Tell Me A Story introduces kids to the theological concept of the promised Messiah who would accomplish what Adam could not—perfect obedience—and save us from sin and death. One day, during a great battle against the Philistines, a giant named Goliath challenges God’s people to come and fight him, but they are all afraid!     Jacob’s twelve sons have grown to be a huge people in Egypt and Pharaoh is worried they’ll overthrow him! He forces them into slave labor and commands the killing of the Hebrew baby boys. In faith, one woman puts her baby son into a basket in the river and he is found by Pharaoh’s daughter, named Moses, and raised as a prince! Judah and his brothers devise a wicked plan to get rid of Joseph for good!     Even though humans continue to sin, God decides to make a special people for himself, so he calls Abraham and Sarah. He tells them to leave their homeland and family to go to a place where he will make Abraham into a great nation. Even in their old age, he gives them a son, Isaac. But that's just the beginning!
