Australian Shea Adams and Anxiety
Australian Shea Adams is interviewed by podcast host Martin Brooker about the impact of Crucible retreat on his lifelong challenge with anxiety. Shea shares how a bullying incident as a boy drove him to high anxiety around large groups of people. Such incidents caused him to be physically sick. Not trusting these emotions from an early age, Shea’s inner-world was full of judgements of others and himself. He always wondered if he was good enough and has now found a community where he welcomes honesty and receives grace. Peter and Dawn Aldrich Share Crucible’s Impact on Their Marriage
Podcast host James Damey interviews Peter and Dawn Aldrich about the impact of their individual Crucible Retreats on their relationship. They moved from unfair arguments resulting in hurt feelings over their thirty-nine years of marriage to being able to speak cleanly to each other. As each continue their own personal work in separate groups, they report discovering how their individual wounds are contributing to their individual perspectives so that they blame the other much less and own their own wounds. The impact of being able to recognize emotions during a conversation and own it has changed the outcomes of their repetitive arguments. They also share their experience of launching a Men’s Crucible Community and then a Women’s Crucible Community in Connecticut and what God’s doing through the community in Connecticut.

Kenny Cox and Gospel Patrons
Kenny Cox, business leader and Crucible board member, shares the impact of Crucible in his healing journey. He shares how transformational experiences like Crucible have helped him transform, instead of transfer, his anger. Along his journey, he was introduced to the National Christian Foundation and the concept of donor advised funds and the history of great movements in the Kingdom of God. He learned that behind every great movement gospel patrons funded the Kingdom Work. He shares his gospel patronage and the mission he lives: “Through my brokenness and my ability to incarnate with others, I encourage healing, meaning, purpose and legacy.” He is advancing the gospel by funding transformation of the hearts and souls. He shares how giving his time, talents and treasures through Crucible is transforming the world.
