How Being Your True Self Attracts Your Ideal Students in Your Online Culinary Business

This is the advice you didn't know you needed to hear.
This week’s episode is inspired by the many recent conversations I’ve had with culinary solopreneurs who are struggling to attract their ideal students.

Week after week, they create content on Instagram and their blog, but it doesn’t get the engagement they hoped for—and they can’t help but wonder why.

"Why isn't anyone commenting on my posts?"
"Why doesn't anyone sign up for my freebie?"
    "Why isn't my course selling?"

Maybe you're asking yourself these questions too?

Well if so, you’ll definitely want to tune in, because I’m sharing the secret ingredient to attracting your ideal students. We’re diving deep into how showing glimpses of your true self—outside of the food world—can help bring people to you who are genuinely excited to learn from you.

Why Julia Turshen Opens Up Her Kitchen to the World Every Sunday

Week after week, cookbook author and cooking teacher Julia Turshen opens her kitchen to the world...

Since 2021, Julia Turshen has logged into Zoom practically every Sunday to cook with eager home cooks from around the world.

And in Julia’s words, “I went from enjoying those [cooking demos] the least to enjoying those the most.”

In this episode, Julia shares all the details about how she started her journey teaching cooking online, valuable lessons learned, plus surprising insights she’s discovered along the way.

I can’t wait for you to hear all that Julia has to share!

Anja Lee ,

Inspiring and thoughtful business stories!

I’ve been developing my culinary business anjalee.co for almost ten years and I find Cynthia’s podcasts very inspiring and helpful, to this day! There are so many stories from others in the field who give me helpful thoughts and ideas and keep me going from the day to day. I have no doubt that Cynthia’s programs online are awesome. Thanks Cynthia!

Samnb333 ,

So helpful!

I’m actually not a professional in the culinary world! But I have found so much of this content relevant to teaching my hair courses online. Although some of the specifics don’t apply to me, the methodology translates and is so inspiring. I haven’t found anything like this for stylists who teach and this has really been a good resource for me.

5 stars, 5 hearts, 5 high fives!

As a chef educator of 20 years who pivoted to teaching online in 2020, I can vouch that this is a treasure trove for anyone wanting to teach culinary virtually! I wish I had discovered Cynthia when I was getting started but I’m thrilled to be connected now. There’s always more to learn and with Cynthia’s background and all of these fascinating talented guests, I’m eager to dive into all this content. I’ve only listened to one so far but I have subscribed and it will be part of my regular rotation! Thank you, Cynthia!
