    96. Creating boundaries during a crisis

    96. Creating boundaries during a crisis

Are clients asking you difficult questions right now? "Can you come to my house to do my hair? When are you booking again Can I be first on your list when you do go back?"

These questions are so hard to answer because we have no idea or control on when we actually can. What we do have control over is our approach and how we handle the situation.

In this episode we are going to talk about boundaries, what they are, why they are important, especially during a difficult time like now, and how to approach them without sounding like a jerk and coming off unprofessional.

This frame work will help you approach any boundary you need to create in both life and biz

If you are looking to dive deeper on your values and beliefs by creating boundaries, check out my boundaries mini class I created a few months back that definitely still applies. The class includes a special audio to walk you through the class + a PDF to help you discover your priorities in order to create boundaries. You can sign up with the link below

    95. The new salon norm

Who's ready and eager to get back into the salon?! I know I am. Before we get too excited, I think its important to share what we can expect and what precaution and measure will NEED to be taken once we do get back into the salon. Unfortunately, how we did business before is long gone. We will need to adapt to new salon norms and in this episode I'll be sharing what other states have been doing and how we can use them as examples on how we can prepare. I hope this episode serves you well and I can't wait to see us all get back behind the chair.

In this episode I share the 5 stages of grief and how it is affecting us as individuals and professionals. In order to move forward we must first recognize where we are. I also share some tips to get you out of a funk and back into action. Remember, we can't take care of others ( including our business) until we first take care of ourselves and thats what this episode is all about.

Hope you are staying safe and sane my friends. So happy to be back and fortunate to have the opportunity to get through this WITH YOU.

    93. A rant about passive aggressive posting

You ready for a ramble?! I interrupt your Monday with an emergency podcast episode. Listen to me rant as I share why passive aggressive posting gets under my skin. Our challenges within our business are our own faults and we need to start accepting responsibility instead of passive aggressively posting about it online. PERIODT.

You need SAM, listen weekly to be wiser

Seriously though, Sam is REAL. She shares her (and other everyday day beauty professionals) real and raw stories. The hairhobo podcast isn’t just about how to build a successful clientele, although Sam does that too, but the hairhobo podcast highlights everything from situations in the salon to mental health to life! If you’re a stylist and you want to be educated AND remember that you’re human, you gotta tune in weekly! Listening to Sam, I’ve learned so much to better my business and my life and I’ve tuned into what’s most important to me. Sam is WISE. And it’s a bonus she is also funny! :) subscribe to be inspired my friend!

Great podcast! Love it!

I love this podcast! As a hairstylist I relate very much to everything Sam shares but I am certain even if you are not a stylist there’s still SO MUCH to enjoy and take away from what she shares. Sams genuine and uplifting personality really comes through and I find myself literally laughing out loud to these episodes. Thanks for all your hardwork and everything you share, Sam! Love your podcast!
