The Ezra Klein Show

Ezra Klein invites you into a conversation on something that matters. How do we address climate change if the political system fails to act? Has the logic of markets infiltrated too many aspects of our lives? What is the future of the Republican Party? What do psychedelics teach us about consciousness? What does sci-fi understand about our present that we miss? Can our food system be just to humans and animals alike? Good show, stop interrupting
hace 4 días
I enjoy the show, but it’s really annoying when you ask your guest a question and interrupt the answer, especially if it’s not a long winded answer. I understand you’re the host and I value what you have to say, but please wait your turn :)
Inaccurate and biased

Lop-sided show not concerned with fair-minded political takes. A partisan echo-chamber.
Leftist propaganda

Listen to this show if you want your leftists beliefs reinforced.
Great high-level perspective

Thank you for your show Ezra, I really appreciate all of the different topics you’ve been bringing up, the diversity of all the guest, and all of the higher level perspective I’ve been gaining by listening to your show. I really think that you’ve done an incredible job of getting us out of the moment to a moment and really putting us giving us perspective to moment we are in. I just listened to an episode of the Weekly show with Jon Stewart with Maria Ressa, she could be a good person to have on your show as well. Also, the AI show you did recently was really eye- opening. You have already tackled some of these topics, but I wonder if you show about the psychology at the moment we are in? What do we do about social media companies? What are we gonna be able to do about AI effects on deepening rifts in society? How is the press going to survive in a way that helps safeguard democracy? How can ordinary citizens help with any of this stuff? Are there any ways to help change peoples minds? I know trying to convince someone doesn’t really help. Thank you.
Ok changed my mind

Great show actually now that I have listened to several episodes - despite Ezra’s annoying sing song puffery. Sometimes it’s too much…. Small doses l can take it.
I can't do this anymore.

Honestly this show used to be a bit less... tragic. Right now, in this very moment, Ezra Klein is reading about something that he will obsess over for two days, then find one person who will absolutely depress you so he can talk to them about how what is happening now and will happen later is the worst thing ever. Next week he'll do it all again about something else. Say what you want about how Obama-era hope failed, but at least I felt a positive will to live. Listening to this show is like getting dragged by my shirt in the dirt. Ezra has trivialized the obvious; there is someone there who believes presenting new theories as to why we're in this mess will help fix this mess, but real wisdom would reveal that the reasons have always been here and remain unchanged. The only thing some people can't comprehend is that the people who need to hear the repeated and obvious reasons (systemic racism and homophobia, income inequality) don't care.
Yikes

Fatuous and exhausting…like spending time with an unpleasant relative. Somebody put on Steve Reich! Or wait, don’t.

Such a pleasure listening to this conversation. We need more of this - the exchange of ideas sans any anger or anything remotely toxic. I learn so much & my owns views expand. Once again - thank u. Don’t stop what you’re doing!
Martin Gurri Ep

I generally enjoy listening to this show for the quality guests and thought provoking discussions. The episode with Martin Gurri left me disappointed. He demonstrated and seeming every point of the conversation that he was not as well versed in the issues being discussed as he claimed. His insistence of reciting conspiracy theories was disconcerting, but more troubling was the host giving platform to such an uninformed guest.
Disappointing

Martin Gurri falls far below the quality and intelligence that I’ve come to expect from your guests. I applaud that you are trying to engage individuals who can share alternative perspectives. But very little in what he said and how he said it suggested that he is a deep thinker. An AI fanboy? Absolutely. Someone who can offer real insight? Why not just invite ChatGPT to the show instead.
