Mrs. Williams-n-Eric: People Who've Influenced My Life, Part 1

Mrs. Williams-n-Eric: People Who've Influenced My Life, Part 1

Welcome to Part 1 of a mini 2 Part Series on the people who have most impacted my life! I do hope to interview more people for this series in Season 2, so stay tuned for that!

Mrs. Williams was my 7th and 8th Grade teacher at Holy Angels Catholic School, in Aurora, IL , and she undoubtedly helped to shape the man I am today, in those turbulent years of middle school, puberty, and Catholic guilt.

One reason Mrs. Williams has impacted my life so positively is because deep down, I alway knew she loved me, even before I knew I loved myself. What a gift! I hope you enjoy this conversation as much as I did when having it.

Brittany Alsot ,

Validating and thoughtful

Eric is so thoughtful at interrogating his life to find meaning and authenticity. He’s always looking for the kind approach to lift other people up and remind them of their potential. I’m so excited to see where these conversations will go. I can already tell they are going to be wise and a little messy and very worthwhile.

Raw, Real, Authentic, & Helpful

Eric - and his podcast- are perfect for a world where vulnerability, take it or leave it authenticity, and showing oneself unfiltered…are rare and prized qualities. Eric podcast is really helpful in seeing I am not alone, seeing where and how my spirituality fell into the hands of flawed human systems and theology, where and how I can reclaim my spirituality, mental health, joy for and in my life, and understanding my mess of simultaneous becoming and unbecoming is part of what it is to be human. Now I’m not so scared to “unbecome” what society, others, religion etc want me to be in the area of my identity but in every area of life! Thank you Eric ❤️
