    Triston Henry shares his inspiring story. From a young age, he was forced to confront the beliefs that stereotyping left him with.

    Growing up in a single parent household in Toronto, Triston was forced to battle with stereotypes about young black men his whole life.

    He dreamt of becoming a professional goalkeeper. Triston decided to play college soccer at The University of Connecticut, one of the best programs in the NCAA.

    Facing more obstacles than ever before, his perseverance rewarded him with a contract from Forge FC in Canada’s top division. In 2019, he led them to a championship as the leagues top goalkeeper.

Thank you for putting Tanor’s stories out there. So important for everyone to hear what black people, especially men, face on a daily basis.

Really powerful stuff and a great listen. Hard to imagine anyone listening to this without their blood boiling when listening to Tanor’s stories.

Great story

It was really interesting to hear from someone who took a different route In their education. Not everyone can be educated the same way. I think Christopher will be highly successful at Princeton and in life, because he really wants it. He is doing it for him and not because it is expected of him. Congratulations. Looking forward to more inspirational stories from people.
