Loved your last episode. I feel the same way a lot of times. In the rate occasion that I’m around other speakers I get nervous and second guess myself.

I’m on the episode listening to pili and it gives me so much hope for my Keiki and trying to teach. She olelo so much more than mine at 2.5 and he speaks some olelo & English and loves Takaro tribe so some Tongan too. Especially not being in Hawai’i and being displaced, I love your families channels. You guys are beyond amazing. Keep going. This is the best. And hearing you and Malu go back and forth cracks me up and is real life and struggling through. Malaho nui loa sharing your family and this journey.
Loved this!

Aloha! I’m from Turkey and living in Hawai’i. For me both English and Hawaiian are the two languages I should learn while I’m living here. I know from a first hand experience speaking a new language can be scary. But I want you all to remember, this is your ancestors language, it’s an ancient one, it’s connected through your DNA and if you let your spirit to take the course but not your ego/ self much, you will have no fear. I love and respect Hawaiian people and their ancient spiritual culture. We all here to make Hawaiian shine again. I would love to teach someday to Turkish people as well! I love you! I see you! I appreciate you! Love this podcast! And I’m here to learn. Me ke aloha, Ezgi

Aloha! It’s a long story but in a nutshell I am a māmā learning ‘ōlelo Hawai’i since my husband and I decided to put our keiki in kula o kaiapuni. I find myself nodding along in agreement to all of your experiences! Mahalo piha for sharing because it has encouraged me so much to keep learning and to mai hilahila and e ʻaʻa i ka ʻōlelo! I feel more comfortable after hearing each episode to ‘ōlelo more. I find your words of wisdom as guidance and has inspired me to be that push my ‘ohana needs to be more fluent in our lives. Keep doing what you do, IMUA!
