Whether you’re looking for

Something funny or something motivational, this pod definitely has it all. I remember when I first found this podcast a year ago, and I just backtracked as far as I can and binged everything. It doesn’t matter who the guest is, everyone has a great time and you’ll find yourself just literally laughing out loud to the point of tears! And then when they talk about just putting in the work, grinding it out and just doing it, it’s the best motivation out there. The Koy Pond is my go to podcast. Love you guys!

Update: I do miss Chris, Cailab and Chase though. I understand they’re all doing their own thing, but yeah. Especially Chase’s laugh... that was contagiously funny.

Don’t start with Cho

I listened to the Margaret Cho episode first. As far as I can tell, she was there solely to have Jo Koy talk _at_ her. The few questions he actually posed to his guest were immediately followed (before she could answer) with him breathlessly telling her what he imagines is going to be her answer. Maybe other episodes are better but this one was neither an interview nor a conversation and no one is funny enough or interesting enough to talk to themselves that long without a script.

I do seem to be in the minority review-wise so maybe I really did start on the worst one.

While I doubt I’ll invest more time in this podcast, I’d still recommend Jo Koy’s stand up where he’s not trying to involve anyone else and it’s rehearsed.
