Getting Kids to Listen, Happy Home, Speech Therapy, Connection, Communication, Coaching
Are you tired of repeating yourself with your children or wonder why they don’t listen? Do you feel judgement when your kids don’t behave as expected? Do you just wish you could communicate in a way your child really understood? Are you looking for ways to set boundaries and be a better parent?
In this podcast, you will find solutions to …get kids to listen better with clear communication and boundaries that benefit kids. All while enhancing your relationships! My mission is to help puzzled, busy, worried parents read their child’s behavior as communication.
When we understand what they are communicating, WE start to communicate differently. This is true of normal language development, children in dual language homes, and children with language delay. When your Language is Playful, you use words that allow for discovery, creativity, curiosity and exploration, which empowers and encourages. Connection is born. Connected kids are courageous and listen better. Connected kids have fewer meltdowns. Connected kids feel seen and heard and are more resilient.
Hello, my name is Dinalynn Rosenbush, mom, grandma, Speech Language Pathologist of over 25 years.
Working with hundreds of children with speech & language delays and also navigating divorce and single parenting, I learned to use specific language in specific ways to build connection and teach communication. Our language is not only our words, but it is the feeling our children have when we speak with them. I learned through education AND PERSONAL STRUGGLE, how to create a home where exploration is welcomed, mistakes are stepping stones, and practice is expected. Your kids know you are on their team.
What works for speech and language disabled children, simply works! I believe all parents should have access to these skills, not just specialists. It is my hope to give small nuggets of information in each episode to build your communication toolbox.
So, if you are ready to build deep, meaningful connection AND create a more peaceful, productive and happy home. Listen in! Let’s interrupt the way you have been parenting. so that you CAN BECOME THE PARENT you WANT to be.

12 EVERYDAY PARENT: Planning a Learning Adventure with Kids; A Success Story with a Twist
I see you, Parents ~
We ALL have our times as parents that we wish to crawl under a rock and hide! We know it. We ALL ALSO have those moments where WE ARE ROCKSTARS! We know those moments, too! We feel proud of our moments. And, when others share their stories, we learn other ways of handling situations. We gain different perspectives. We become more creative when we hear how someone else did "the thing!"
Creative communication remembers not only what we hear, but also how to apply it to what our child sees, hears, how they move, and experience life. Whatever isn’t working, is there a different way to teach it?
Join me today for the first EVERYDAY PARENT EPISODE, where we share stories of what we have done to connect with our kids in ways that WORKED! Our minds open when we hear someone’s story! I KNOW YOU have HUNDREDS of great stories! Everyday parent episodes focus on a story to share that encourages others, even when outcomes are not be the idea you expect, such as in today's story. Join ME, as I begin Everyday Parent episodes with a story from me.
I have learned so much from the stories of others. Your story is a gift you can give. I believe when we give our stories, we give ideas to others; we empower other parents!
