Is the transfer portal out of control? | Late Kick Live Ep. 222

Is the transfer portal out of control? | Late Kick Live Ep. 222

Late Kick Live Ep. 222 features Josh Pate counting down to the National Title game next Monday night in Indianapolis with a look at what Nick Saban has done at Alabama and how he has warped the perception of the sport for so many people. Has the greatest dynasty in the history of College Football fooled too many into thinking the sport is broken? Speaking of titles, Josh also takes a look back at the 2005 Rose Bowl between USC and Texas. Was this the greatest title game ever? Was it also the pinnacle of College Football? We also take a look at what has already been an insane week in the world of the Transfer Portal with Oklahoma QB Caleb Williams entering his name while Dillon Gabriel exited UCLA before setting foot on a practice field to head to Norman instead. Are there checks and balances needing to be inserted into the equation or will we continue to see free movement unchecked? Additionally we take an in-depth look at the evolving nature of the SEC East. Could one OR several programs finally be adjusting to the dominance UGA has shown in recent years?

Great Pod for all College football fans

Great pod for anytime of year.

Pod question: Kirby has clearly done a good job at Georgia..I mean he won a National title! He’s clearly a great recruiter and great coach, but a perfect fit at Georgia. Sam Pittman stands out as a “perfect fit”. How much do you value fit to program vs recruit ability/coaching (scheme)?
Also what do you view as current perfect fits…possible future fits?

Best Perspective on CFB Out There

Listen to this pod if you want the smartest, most detailed, and unbiased analysis on CFB. For every big time game or pressing issue in the sport, Josh has a perspective that is very profound and well thought out. Even though he’s from SEC country, he makes sure to cover the whole landscape the same way. Great listen every time. CFB would be better if Josh was the commissioner

Pate for president?

Josh is the man. He needs to be the el presidente of college football. Previously, I would always listen to mainstream college football podcasts. However, Josh’s quick wit, one liners, and twister comparisons have made me make a change. I will NVER listen and trust another college football show the way I do late kick. If you want in depth, factual, and honest college football talk, you need to listen to this show. Also, I would be reminded if I didn’t mention academy sports and out doors. Josh likes it when people shop there.
