Future Show
As a Bostonian, Jules should be familiar with Red Sox/Yankee rivalry. A game to cover would be 1978 playoff game to decide who would win American League. Both teams had 99 wins, plenty of Hall of Famers and plenty of stories. No wild card in 78.
The game is referred to my most as the Bucky Dent game; however as a fan sitting near the right field foul pole, I also think of it as the lucky Lou Pinella game.
Players in the game included Yaz, Carlton Fisk, Jim Rice, Reggie Jackson, Thurman Munson and Goose Gossage. Hall of Famers Catfish Hunter and Dennis Eckersly were on the teams but did not play.
Eck, Jim Rice, Fred Lynn and the Boston Globe’s curly haired boy friend could be potential guests.
Pure football
