Great show , very authentic
I am a restaurant owner and I like hearing the point of view of servers. I am the kind of owner who puts myself in the trenches when needed because I literally have put myself in their shoes on several occasions , however to be doing that job day in and day out can be satisfying but is also incredibly draining , great servers have incredibly high emotional IQ. It really should be a more respected profession in our country . You learn a lot about people when you work in a restaurant.
Best Server Podcast out there
Yo! Been a server for over 2 decades now. A little while ago I lost my love for serving and was pissing off guests. This podcast truly helped me rediscover the greatness of being a seasoned and skilled server by providing tips and skills to fine tune my craft through knowledge and humor. A definite listen for servers new to the biz or old crab apples such as myself !
Part time servers
I just want to disagree wholeheartedly with Jason about his comment on part time servers. I managed restaurants for years and now I’ve stepped back into serving because I do love my job and take it seriously. I work part time four days a week. I’m definitely not someone who doesn’t care and only gives part of myself. I give 100% each and every shift I work. I just want to cut back because of personal reasons. So Jason can definitely be missing out on great servers because of his discrimination of those who might only be able to work part time. Sometimes, part time servers are the ones who come through with the picking up of extra shifts or helping out when extra servers are needed.
