In this episode, I open up about a vulnerable and personal topic that has impacted me for years and share a recent business experience I had collecting survey feedback to help optimize my product offering. Part 1 (Personal Topic): Shaving my head has been a consideration of mine for years due to hair loss, so I recently decided to give it a shot. My point in sharing this is more than just an update on my style and appearance - I hope to reach the many men out there who have struggled with baldness and what they should do about it, along with encouraging everyone else to try new things that are uncomfortable to step into. I approach this topic with humor and realness, while emphasizing a prevalent theme around the significant growth you experience once you lean into the discomfort that you have been avoiding. Part 2 (Business Topic): This section focuses on a recent exercise I ran in an effort to continue optimizing my business, Legacy Kapsule. I share specific survey questions and how I am addressing certain objections or hesitations that came back to me as feedback. This type of exercise could be a valuable tool for you to use if you are early on in your entrepreneurial journey and still in the product discovery phase.

Quentin Williams is a coach who helps athletes transition to life beyond sports. In this conversation, we discuss Quentin’s background playing football and how experiencing concussions and witnessing related long term negative impacts on other fellow athletes motivated him to help bring awareness to this problem. This includes topics like CTE (chronic traumatic encephalopathy), men’s mental health, and the importance of having compassion. Chris Leben is a former UFC Fighter and Bare Knuckle Boxer. He currently referees and judges professional MMA contests while also overseeing and coaching at his MMA gym, The Training Center San Diego. In this conversation, we discuss Chris’s experience on the first season of The Ultimate Fighter, his dynamic family background, struggles with substance abuse, and his fighting career.
