Life changing!
Listening to Jack’s podcast every week is like having your own personal Bowen systems coach. I love the the way that he integrates the Christian faith, stories from his family life, and articles from relevant modern day thinkers. His delivery makes the complex - concise and easy to understand, and you will soon find yourself looking for ways to apply it in your own life.
Great tools for leadership!!
I have listened to this podcast since 2020 when I read Jack’s book Anxious Church, Anxious People. Over the past 3-4 years my reactivity has decreased and my resilience has increased. With countless transitions in the church, I have found my being a non-anxious presence has allowed space for growth and transformation in the church I serve. Get a group to listen with you and discuss. Then watch your organization transform.
Inspiring and Informative
On any given episode, Jack Shitama’s podcast curates and connects current events, recent publications, personal stories, or even listener questions with the basic concepts of Family Systems Theory (a psychological analysis of relational systems developed by Murray Bowen and further explored by Edwin Friedman), all in an effort to inform and inspire leaders. Episodes will help you learn to connect with others (especially in times of anxiety), nurture a calm presence (even amid conflict), and even develop practices that will help you grow into a stronger, principled leader.
