Day 322 | The Lord will be the Good Shepherd | Edom is judged | James 2: Faith in action
Day 322 of the Holy Bible One Year CHALLENGE.
Ezekiel 34: This chapter is like a message from God about leaders. God isn't happy with the leaders, called shepherds, who are not taking care of the people, like sheep. He promises to be the good shepherd Himself, to look after and care for His people.
Ezekiel 35: In this part, God talks to a place called Mount Seir, which represents the enemies of God's people. God says He will punish them because they were mean and hurt His people. It's about how God protects His people and deals with those who harm them.
James 2: This chapter tells us that it's not okay to treat people differently based on how rich or poor they are. It also says that just believing in God isn't enough; we should show our faith by doing good things.

Day 321 | Watchman for the Lord | James: An introduction
Day 321 of the Holy Bible One Year CHALLENGE.
Ezekiel 32-33:32 talks about God sending Ezekiel to warn people about their bad choices. God compares Egypt to a big, powerful animal that will be caught and punished. Then, God tells Ezekiel to be a watchman, like a lookout person, who warns people when danger is coming. If Ezekiel doesn't warn them, it's his fault, but if he does and they don't listen, it's their own fault. It's about listening to warnings and choosing to do right.
James 1 teaches about staying strong and happy even when things are hard, because tough times make us stronger in our faith. It reminds us to ask God for wisdom if we need it, and He'll give it to us. The chapter also says it's important not just to hear what God's word says, but to do what it says. It's like looking in a mirror; we should remember what we look like and act on it. It also tells us to take care of people who need help and to keep ourselves from being polluted by the world's bad influences.

Day 320 | Egypt, like Assyria, will fall | Hebrews 13: Worship that please God
Day 320 of the Holy Bible One Year CHALLENGE.
In Ezekiel 30-31, God tells Ezekiel to warn Egypt that they will be defeated and lose their power because they've acted arrogantly, thinking they're unbeatable, like a tall tree. But even the tallest trees can be cut down, and so can the most powerful nations. It's a reminder that pride can lead to a fall, and no one is too big or strong to be beyond God's reach.
Hebrews 13 teaches us to keep loving each other like family, to be kind to strangers, and to remember those in trouble. It reminds us to be happy with what we have because God is always with us. It also talks about following good leaders, not being carried away by strange teachings, and offering praise to God through our actions and words. The chapter encourages us to do good and share with others, which pleases God.

Day 319 | Judgment against Tyre, Sidon, and Egypt | Hebrews 12: God will shake Heaven and Earth
Day 319 of the Holy Bible One Year CHALLENGE. Ezekiel 28-29 are two chapters in the Bible where God sends messages through Ezekiel. In chapter 28, God tells the ruler of Tyre that he's not as powerful as he thinks, reminding him that he's just a human, not a god. It's a lesson about pride and humility. In chapter 29, God talks about Egypt, saying He will punish them for not being reliable friends to Israel, showing that actions have consequences. This part also promises that Israel will eventually heal and grow strong.
In Hebrews 12:14-29, the Bible teaches about living in peace with everyone and being holy. It talks about how important it is to follow God and not ignore His guidance. It compares God's words to a shaking earth and a consuming fire, showing that His words are powerful and life-changing. This passage encourages people to be grateful and worship God with respect, because His kingdom is unshakeable and He is a loving yet awe-inspiring God.

Day 318 | Tyre: Doorway to the Seas | Hebrews 12: The Lord's Discipline
Day 318 of the Holy Bible One Year CHALLENGE.
Ezekiel 26-27 talks about the city of Tyre. God told Ezekiel to say that Tyre would be destroyed because it was happy when Jerusalem fell. These chapters describe how Tyre's wealth and trading made it famous but also proud. God said he would bring many nations against Tyre, and it would be like a bare rock. This shows that pride and rejoicing in others' misfortune can lead to downfall.
Hebrews 12:1-13 encourages us to be strong in our faith. It's like a race where we need to get rid of anything that slows us down, especially sin. We should look to Jesus as our example, who stayed strong even when things were really hard. The passage also talks about how God disciplines us like a parent does to their child, because He loves us and wants us to learn and grow. It's a reminder to stay on the right path and be brave, even when things get tough.

Day 317 | Death of Ezekiel's Wife | Hebrews 11: Faith that pleases God
Day 317 of the Holy Bible One Year CHALLENGE.
Ezekiel 24-25 is about two messages from God. In Chapter 24, God tells a story about a cooking pot to show the people of Jerusalem that tough times are coming because they haven't been living right. It's a warning and also a sad prophecy about the city being attacked. In Chapter 25, God speaks about other places like Ammon, Moab, Edom, and Philistia. He's not happy with them either because they were mean to His people. These chapters remind us that actions have consequences and it's important to live in ways that are kind and respectful to others.
Hebrews 11:17-40 continues talking about faith, using examples of people from the Old Testament. It mentions Abraham's faith when he almost had to sacrifice Isaac, and how Moses chose to be with God's people instead of enjoying a royal life in Egypt. The passage also talks about other faithful people who faced really hard times, like being in prison or being hurt, because they believed in God. It shows that having faith can sometimes be tough, but it's worth it because of the promise of a better future with God.
