Hooked after the second episode
This is a really well done show. The second episode provides a really thorough history of the colonization of American land and draws really concise through lines from how our land was obtained to our current systems of property for American land. When confronted with the history of US land, non-native Americans often either memory-hole it and move on, or reach for platitudes that don’t meaningfully translate into how we think about our property in our day to day lives. Sarah’s outlook uses all of this context to actually shape how we think about property in a pragmatic way, it feels like I can actually start to understand what this means for my life and my morals.
Great first episode on farmland and food
Informative look at some of the assumptions we hold about U.S. farmland and where our food comes from. I always enjoy how Sarah Mock explores and questions our commonly held beliefs about farms. Also appreciated the perspectives of the podcast guests. Looking forward to more.
Super informative for the Ag-Curious
I really enjoyed this first episode and was able to learn a lot about farmland in the US and several misconceptions around it, like where it comes from. Great first episode!
