We also discuss the importance of waking up from ‘cloud covid land’ and Clare’s spiritual journey and resulting Christian faith.

Episode 51 - Neither cold nor hot
In this episode we discuss a few examples of ‘Christian celebrities’ in the news, the ‘Lausanne movement’ and the dangers of the promotion of ‘Christian unity’ at the expense of doctrine. We have a look at the Christian media and the need to apply critical thinking to their output as well as that of mainstream media. We focus in on Premier Christianity and some example articles, showing the need to pursue truth and be discerning so we are not deceived. We finish with suggestions of smaller Christian media outlets, and a reading from Revelation 3:14-22 where Jesus warns against being neither cold nor hot.

Episode 49 - No farming, no food, no future
In this episode we consider the recent farmer protests across Europe, driven by desperation primarily over policies related to the ‘green agenda’ and the drive to ‘net-zero’, with a uniting protest theme of ‘No farmers, No food, No future.’ We look at the unrest in Wales over the proposed new ‘Sustainable Farming Scheme’, and get a glimpse of the green agenda ideology through the ‘C40 cities’ global network. We discuss the pushback including the ‘CO2 Coalition’ and the ’No to net-zero’ campaign. We finish with a call to consider these issues from a Christian perspective, with a focus on Genesis 1:24-28 and Psalm 104.

Episode 48 - DisPutin?
In this episode we re-visit the controversy surrounding Christian leader Alistair Begg’s recent advice about attending a ‘transgender wedding’, and we take a quick look at another controversy involving Canterbury Cathedral and silent discos. We then spend some time reviewing Tucker Carlson’s now infamous interview with Vladimir Putin. This raised a number of issues including history, NATO expansion, negotiations for settlement, Russian expansionism, the war-mongering of the West, the role of the media and the importance of seeking after truth. We finish with a reading from James 3:13-18 which reminds us to seek God’s wisdom and not the ‘wisdom’ offered by the world.

Episode 47 - Shamelessly Biblical with Aaron Edwards
In this special episode we talk to Aaron Edwards, who describes himself as a ‘theologian in academic exile’ after losing his job at a theological college following his now infamous tweet expressing a Biblical view on sexuality. We discuss the importance of being ‘shamelessly biblical’, the dangers of cowardice in the church, the term ‘outrageous grace’ and why many controversial issues we face in our western culture are indeed gospel issues. We hope this will be a challenging and encouraging episode for all of our listeners.
