    How Much Did Disneyland Cost Us?!?

    We took our 5-year-old daughter on a surprise solo birthday trip to Disneyland, which was a core childhood memory for both of us when we were growing up. We planned and saved for the trip over the course of a year, utilizing sinking funds and our high-yield savings account. The cost of the trip ended up being significantly more than we originally estimated and planned for.
