Episode 44: Product Messaging & Story Telling That Sells With Sienna Dexter

Everyone is trying to save time. So the faster your product on the shelf can 'speak' to consumers, the more money you will make. This is why a lot of groundwork has to be done to understand your ideal customer demographics and behaviors and tailor your branding and messaging accordingly.
In this episode, you will gain insights into predicting and understanding consumer behavior. You will appreciate the people-first approach to solving consumers' problems and why you need to focus on connecting with your customer more than selling them your product. Episode 43: Millions at Stake? You Better Understand This Metric

Episode 43: Millions at Stake? You Better Understand This Metric

Nowadays, finding statistics that will grab attention is simple. Likes and comments on social media and open rates are a point of pride. Business owners are happy to display these as monthly hits. However, many of these stats aren't of any substantial value to growing and scaling your brand/business. They may appear beautiful on paper but don't help your beauty brand business scale.
In today's episode, I will help you distinguish these not-so-useful metrics and the ones that matter. I'll explain the most critical metrics, how they operate, and how to improve them.
    Episode Highlights
What are vanity metrics and examples of vanity metrics (02:12)
What is customer lifetime value, and why it matters most (6:22)
The key considerations in evaluating your customer lifetime value (9:00)
The two types of CEOs (18:20)
Customer-centric CEO (18:30) Product-centric CEO (20:00) Typical objections customers have to buying a beauty product (24:25):
It won't work for my skin Too expensive The size is too big How to address these objections (25:00) Why you should never neglect a welcome series (28:10)
How to follow up after the first customer interaction/transaction (28:50)
Four recommendations to scale your beauty brand (a recap) (34:18):
Focus on customer lifetime value (34:20) Shift from product- to customer-centric focus (35:15) Look at your data (35:53) Improve customer experience (36:30) Quotes
"A vanity metric is a metric that looks nice but doesn't mean anything."
"The money is always in the follow-up, especially if they bought from you the first time. The first purchase is the hardest. But if you're able to get them to convert, it means that they bought from you for a reason. So now the question is, will you support them through that journey?"
"If you can get 60% of your audience to VIP, you will build a highly sustainable business because your marketing costs will be much lower. Then it will be easy for you to implement a referral strategy program."
"When I look at CEOs, beauty brand entrepreneurs, and those that have had massive success in such a short time, that's the number one qualifier—customer centricity. They understand that the only way to drive demand around their brand is spending time digging deep and understanding their audience."
"Branding is why people buy you; marketing is how people find you."
"You never go to somebody's site knowing you're going to buy a product unless you have premeditated on that decision and knew that you actually wanted it. So we often go to sites looking for reasons not to buy."
"Research data shows that small brands lose 70% to 80% of their audiences after the first interaction. This is because they don't focus on nurturing that audience right after their first

Episode 42: Reasons why it feels so hard to grow and scale your Product Business

Episode 42: Reasons why it feels so hard to grow and scale your Product Business

Many beauty business owners reach a point where there's no more growth, or their revenue doesn't turn into more profitability. Therefore, the cash overflow necessary to expand the business through buying more inventory, hiring a team, and investing in productivity systems isn't there. Essentially, they are stuck and have plateaued. To make matters worse, they contemplate increasing marketing, which isn't a solution in and of itself.
Are you in the same boat? In this episode, I uncover three underlying reasons you've reached this point and provide a way out of this rabbit hole.
    Episode highlights
Three reasons why you can't scale: Reason #1. You love money, not profit (01:20) Why using the multiplier strategy is not the best approach to scaling (03:35) Defining brand development and its pivotal role in scaling your business (03:55) The pricing formula (05:10) The concept of perceived value (08:10) Reason #2. You don't know your numbers (09:25) Three strategies to grow a product-based business without paid activity (09:41):  Get more customers (12:00) Get your customers to buy more per order (12:40) Get your customers to buy more frequently (13:50) How increasing marketing does not solve your scaling problem (15:55) Reason # 3. You don't have a system for scale (24:20) How to create a system for scale: Figure out your cash flow (24:48) Know your production equation (26:10) Have super sharp marketing and sales plan (27:29)
    Quotes
"If you don't have that cash overflow, something is not right in your pricing architecture. So your pricing blueprint is not accurate."
"Even though you're selling a product, you're selling a brand. And a brand is a transformation for your desired audience. Branding is why people buy you; marketing is how people find you."
"Branding is why people buy you; marketing is how people find you. And there is a sentimental aspect regarding brand and why people buy."
"When using a multiplier strategy, you're commoditizing your product instead of being a true transformation or an emotional experience. So you're diluting the perceived value."
"If you're finding that scaling is feeling hard, tiresome, and grueling, look at your pricing architecture. Do you have enough profit left over after everything is paid?"
"Three ways to grow a product-based business. 1. Get more customers. 2. Get your customers to buy more per order. 3. Get your customers to buy more frequently."
"The reason I wake up every morning is to eliminate poverty by helping entrepreneurs build wealth, especially regarding our businesses."
"…there's a space and time for each of these strategies: getting more customers, increasing your average order value, or increasing your frequency. These are the sales strategies that drive the right results without having to rely on any significant paid activity. These are the strategies that big brands use most of the time when it comes to growth in sales. "
"What's the root cause of the issues you're seeing in your business now? If you think about it objectively, what would you say is holding you back apart from marketing?"
"You can only make growth sure by understanding your numbers and the levers you need to pull—getting more customers, increasing your price per order, and getting people to buy from you more frequently."
"If you're trying to figure out what is the next best thing I need to do for my business, eliminate marketing. If marketing was not a factor, what would you do?"
"If cash doesn't flow at small scale and small revenue numbers, it won't flow at large scale."
"You need to think about a super simple, highly precise marketing plan that will allow your business to grow sustainably."

The Truth You Didn't Know ,

Wonderful growth podcast

I was looking for a podcast where I can learn about other entrepreneurs experiences, that are selling products they created. I happened to listen to one episode and realized it was also something I needed to hear. Mostly about inner personal growth and self representation.
