7/7/24 - My Grace Is Sufficient For You (2 Corinthians 12)
The Rev. Nick Lannon preaches a sermon on 2 Corinthians 12, in which Paul describes being caught up into the third heaven and being beset with a thorn. Christ is more glorified in our weakness, because it is there that he is shown to be strong.

6/30/24 - Little Girl, Get Up (Mark 5)
The Rev. Nick Lannon preaches a sermon on Mark 5, in which Jesus heals a bleeding woman and raises a little girl from the dead. Jesus' healings are a foretaste of what he really came to do: raise sinners to new life.

6/23/24 - He Woke Up And Rebuked The Wind (1 Sam 17, Mark 4)
The Rev. Nick Lannon preaches a sermon on 1 Samuel 17 (David's duel with Goliath) and Mark 4 (Jesus stills a storm). Jesus stands in our place, fighting our greatest battles and giving us his victory...his life and resurrection.

6/16/24 - It Is Like A Mustard Seed (Ezekiel 17, Mark 4)
The Rev. Nick Lannon preaches a sermon on Ezekiel 17, in which the prophet considers a mighty cedar tree, and Mark 4, in which Jesus compares the kingdom of God to a mustard seed. From something that seemed small—one life—God brings the salvation of the world.
-
6/9/24 - He Is Guilty Of An Eternal Sin (1 Sam 8, Mark 3)
The Rev. Nick Lannon preaches a sermon on 1 Samuel 8, in which Israel asks Samuel for a king, and Mark 3, in which Jesus describes a sin that cannot be forgiven. Jesus is the only king, and he is the King who saves.
-
6/2/24 - The Son Of Man Is Lord Of The Sabbath (Mark 2)
The Rev. Nick Lannon preaches a sermon on Mark 2, in which Jesus teaches on the Sabbath. The Sabbath law is a teacher, a gift, and an arrow, pointing to Christ the savior.

Law and Gospel at its best
Nick Lannon is one of my favorite preachers. To be honest I listen to him mainly when I do not get the gospel on sundays but some version “how to live the Christian life.”
Nick Lannon always uses the law of God to kill us, because as he likes to say God is in the business of raising the dead, not improving our old selves. And he never fails to give us the gospel and how Jesus did for us what we could never do for ourselves. Thank you Nick!
Gospel saturated preaching
I’ve been challenged and encouraged by the preaching of God’s Word by Rev. Nick Lannon. I hope that you will too.
