Notable Quotes Intellectual curiosity is an important part of the recipe for success in graduate school and many different careers. People who study wonder often talk about the experience of it, starting with the mismatch between their expectations about the world and what their senses bring to them. The consequence of experiencing wonder is exploration, curiosity, and trying to seek out explanations for what you witnessed. The value of the Science of Magic is that it allows us to mine psychological insights from a group of people who have been neglected by science for most of their existence. Magicians are informal cognitive scientists who should have a hypothesis of how the mind works to develop techniques to deceive those minds.
