    The Buzz Brothers (Ep.1)

    The Buzz Brothers (Ep.1)

Today we celebrate the Union League Club building in downtown Chicago, and the awesomeness of old buildings in general. Steve turns to AI for a creative experiment, and The Buzz Brothers are born. We learn of Smokey Robinson’s most recent album, Gasms, and we spin a few choice hot moments of that collection. There’s good news from the world of Mexican/Tex-Mex food: Steve is finally eating his rice and beans. Also, at long last, Talk To Me Tuesday finally arrives.

    A Terrible Condition (Disco Demolition)

    A Terrible Condition (Disco Demolition)

Steve had to pump out his eight rain barrels, after the area was once again pummeled by heavy rains. Dag was distraught, but ultimately bemused, by a pricy tapas dinner in the city last night. Steve received an odd but somewhat amusing email from a former listener. Joe Gaspar joins us today, and confirms that his sister recently met Steve. We play a new song from friends of the show, The Baseball Project. It’s called Disco Demolition, and guess what… today is the 44th anniversary of that notorious and largely misunderstood event. The song features one of Steve’s favorite rhymes ever.

    Dandelion Whine

    Dandelion Whine

Today’s a great day to open up an orange soda and let your lawn grow. Steve recalls the magic of a Nesbitt’s Orange Soda on the sunshine-soaked California ocean afternoons of his youth. He and Janet attended Emmett’s baseball game and Steve’s running commentary was peppered with ideas to improve the game and speed up play. Luckily, we weren't able to hear the actual audio from steve's iPhone. Joe and Steve fondly recall their burrito hunting days. Steve owes Anna Beleval and apology. Sewer diving is a thing, and apparently a TV show too.

    The $17,000 Guitar

    The $17,000 Guitar

Steve goes to Guitar Center to return a faulty item and encounters some pushback from the tattooed employees. The event, while ultimately settled, spoils plans for a proposed cheeseburger dinner. The legendary bassist Flea has a tummy emergency, and the very same Target employees that fawned over him upon his arrival refuse to let him use the employee washroom. He pushes through a series of troubling events before relief arrives in the nick of time. Brendan sat in the bleachers for an unbelievable night at Wrigley Field. Dag poses the question: Would you give a foul ball or homerun you caught to kid?

    Pat Dahl Tells All

    Pat Dahl Tells All

Heading into his final day at the condo, we are treated to a show-length visit from Pat Dahl. He’s set to join some friends for an extended spring break, and they’ve got plenty of steaks and canned tequila drinks. Pat shared a batch of stories with his grandkids at dinner on Tuesday (Taco Tuesday) that fill in some of the details about grandpa Steve’s notoriety. We also learn an interesting element of biological warfare that Steve added to a fight with Matt Dahl back in the day. There's more, including Charlie Dahl, a lot more about Pickleball, and a watch spinner, courtesy of Pat.

    The Monk Bought Meth

In a series of shocking discoveries, we learn that all of the monks in an entire monastery in Thailand tested positive for meth. Monks! We also learn the correct pronunciation of Myanmar (thanks to J. Peterman), and that Chevy Chase was in Morton Grove yesterday. Brendan has a holiday movie recommendation for Dag. Steve keeps buying the same green outdoor floodlight fixture every year. It's become a fixture of his holiday season.

Andy Derer ,

Best podcast out there

I listen to something like 15 podcasts on a weekly basis and this is the best. Well worth the $10.95 a month for 5 90 minute podcasts a week. Steve is a legend and Brengan and Dag are the best team he has ever had.
