Steve fondly recalls some old house accounts from the glory days of radio. This Is Us is winding up and it’s making for some incredibly emotional viewing. Janet and Steve are in the early preparation stage of their Saturday drive back home. Will they achieve the tight pack that Steve demands, even with their extra items?

    It's Donald Turnupseed

    It's Donald Turnupseed

Steve crunched the numbers and discovered that Brendan’s Florida jog was an impressive 5.5 miles. Steve also crunched the numbers on his favorite flavor of ice cream and he found that, with proper intake management, they wound up in his favor. There’s booster shot confusion at Walgreens, but Steve deploys patience and courtesy and comes out ahead. Bon Jovi’s career seems to be plagued with nearly fatal bad decisions, as he nearly rejected his biggest hit of all time. This a free episode of the daily Steve Dahl Podcast. Better Call Bob Odenkirk

    Better Call Bob Odenkirk

Bob Odenkirk was out on a bike ride and got a tremendous idea for a movie. Two and a half years (and a lot of training) later, Nobody hit the theaters. We saw it and loved it. Bob is on hand from New Mexico to talk with us about it, among many other things. He guarantees that the series ending of Better Call Saul is going to blow our minds. Kai Juhlin delivers coffee to the Dahl house and ends up joining us on the show. Steve and Brendan are on Team Ozzie, and can’t get enough of the White Sox post game show. Cicada!!

Long time radio fan!! I love this guy!!!
Just for the record, this is supposed to be a Cicada year, so I have started a search for the “cicada” I got from the Stever many, many years ago!!

“Disco Demolition Night”

Steve Dahl actively led and participated in the degradation of black music. Dahl is racist and homophobic; the act of demolishing disco records in the name of “rock and roll” is disingenuous and it’s real motivation was the race conflict of the time. Dahl is a living vestige of “the good ole days” in which black culture was devalued and targeted by the white masses out of fear and paranoia. This man deserves no reward or for anyone to listen to what he has to say.

roblox is so awsome ,

Addicting show and he’s been sober for quite a while

A legend in Chicago spanning 5 decades. A SoCal kid who built his career in the Midwest. I stumbled upon his show back when WDAI was disco. Steve is topical, not political. He’s great at sharing his day to day doings or personality which his buds Brendan and Dag. Dag’s quick wit and skilled guitar licks play well with Steve and Steve’s mesh wearing step son (not really) Brendan, who can lead Steve down a rabbit hole or spark a random thought provoking topic.

The highlight of the week, other than Steve posting a show, is Thursday when Steve’s wife Janet joins the show. She is amazing. Empathetic, caring, thoughtful insight when answering listeners questions during the ask Janet segment. She should do her own podcast. At a minimum she should have the entire show on Thursday as his guest.

Next is Tom Thayer an ‘85 Chicago Bear. Man, between stories of the greatest NFL TEAM EVER, Payton, Ditka, Dick Stanfel or stories related to trips to Maui or the Thayer Deli in Peoria, his segment is always a true gem. Usually Tuesdays unless something interferes, catch him when you can.

Frijole Joe is on Wednesday. Sits in with the boys representing the Mexican/Hispanic lifestyle by sprinkling in his personality and flavor that Steve plays off of really well. He owns a bike shop with very few bikes lately due to the pandemic.

Back when Steve and Garry owned mornings I’d be late for class sitting in a friend’s car listening to a segment he was running long on l, waiting for a commercial break to role before running into school. Or laying around in the afternoons when he moved to the afternoon drive time. I love this guy and and what he’s built in programming over the years. I think this is a great platform to listen uninterrupted and worth my monthly membership. My sister subscribes and I could piggyback on her account but wanting to support the effort is really worth my dime and time.

Thanks for the entertainment you all. Especially during these trying times.
