This podcast is about the psychological challenges which drive us to distraction, the little foibles and ingrained habits, the tracks we play in our brains which make us behave the way we do. We all have them because we are all totally human. In each episode, Jo and Andy will talk about these brain monsters, share their experience with them and offer hints and tips on how to manage them.

Why is it such a drama to come out at work?
It's June, which means it's Pride month, so it seemed only right for us to have an LGBT+ themed episode. Jo asks Andy about what it was like for him to come out as gay, talks about the effect it had on his mental health and explores all the reasons he rebelled against it for such a long time. He shares his story of how he was married to a woman, and even after that relationship broke down, he had several more straight relationships trying to be "normal". There's also a discussion about the challenges faced when coming out in the workplace, and how employers need to play a supporting role to enable their LGBT+ employees to bring their whole selves to work by creating a supportive working environment.

They also discuss their own observations as to why these disorders have been so prevalent for them and share ways to manage them and signpost some of the places you can go to seek professional help.
