    135. Systems to Smooth Summertime Chaos with Laura Hernandez

    135. Systems to Smooth Summertime Chaos with Laura Hernandez

Welcome back to the kitchen table. Bethany sits down with Laura Hernandez, a mom of ten and an expert in creating household systems to help you operate with more peace and less chaos. Heading into summertime, when routines may change, and children are out of school, managing chaos in the house can be a challenge. However, Laura provides listeners with proactive strategies, and you can maintain a sense of peace while minimizing chaos.
As moms, we often operate on auto-pilot and believe we should do it all, but we must remember to give ourselves the grace to know that no household is perfect. Join Bethany and Laura as they dive into the systems Laura uses with her family but also provide listeners with simple and easy systems to incorporate within their homes.
While summertime lends a change in routine and more downtime, it’s also a great time to plan and conquer new systems you’ll want to utilize during the school year. Moms play a vital role in managing their households, and having systems in place can significantly help eliminate chaos and create a more peaceful and functional environment.

    134. When Our Thoughts Condemn Us in Motherhood

    134. When Our Thoughts Condemn Us in Motherhood

Bethany welcomes you to the kitchen table this week for a crucial conversation on combating the thoughts that turn our minds into a battlefield with the enemy. In motherhood, we make mistakes and messes, but the enemy aims to bring us into a place of regret and sadness. Bethany inspires confidence and discernment on how to handle the thoughts that come against us.

Bethany holds tight to the importance of guarding our minds and thoughts against harmful and destructive influences and to seek the truth of God's word as a source of wisdom, guidance, and spiritual protection. Christ chose you, he knows you'll make mistakes, but he doesn't plan to condemn you for them. He will invest in you.

Sit with Bethany as she uses scripture, truth, and guidance to help you uncover the power to discern the enemy so that you can declare yourself in Christ and allow his voice to be louder. The enemy wants you to believe that you're doing it all wrong, but mamas, you're not the words, the voices, or the thoughts the enemy feeds you. When you have a stronghold on the Lord's promises and his voice, you can learn to navigate motherhood from a place of peace. You'll begin to understand that you're not meant to do it perfectly.

    132. Building a Strong Foundation in Motherhood

Welcome back to the kitchen table. Bethany welcomes listeners to this series, where we tackle common ideas we wrestle with as mothers through the Gospel lens. In today’s episode, Bethany begins with the basics of understanding why having a solid foundation of Jesus Christ is essential and how to identify the faulty foundations and build them back into place.

Bethany takes you through conversations rooted in scripture to help you understand why we want to be warrior mamas with firm foundations. But, most notably, through scripture, she reassures you that both you and your child were specifically designed.

God created us as his workmanship for a specific purpose, and Bethany builds out fundamental truths so that your foundation is anchored in God’s truth so as you walk through motherhood, you don’t fall victim to the lies of the enemy.

Washing with the Word

I can’t say enough about how Bethany’s podcast is a blessing. We share a mutual friend who led me to the podcast. I feel like I’m “washed with the water of the Word” when I listen. I’ve shared this podcast with many moms, but also a single dad, my own husband, and a single friend who cares for her bed-bound father- each of these expressing that they were encouraged in the Truth. I’ve even emailed requesting prayer and direction and Bethany was kind enough to reply. So thankful for a voice for truth that helps center my anxious soul. ❤️

@kimstewinspired ,

Let God break through your heart deserves it!

God’s Word is always there for us no matter how difficult life gets. I love how Bethany and her guests remind us of this (and how to find rest we need — loved the convo with Melanie). ❤️

Encouraged in Kingdom focused parenting!

Bethany brings such rich fruit to the table as she shared wisdom and insight that is based upon her experience as a mother of eight and also as a woman walking with Christ. This is the kind of podcast mentorship that I prioritize!
