Well, per usual, Jared Yates Sexton has hit it out of the park once again. “The truth sets us free” (John 8.32); it need not make us happy. “The truth serves only a world that lives by it.” (Helen Hayes, First Lady of the American Theatre, as the Dowager Empress in Anatole Litvak’s enduring classic, Anastasia.) For us constitutional democracy adherents, the anointing on Sexton’s life continues to flow unabated. Thank you, my Brother, for continuing to set your face like a flint toward that which is ethical (Isaiah 50.7c), for continuing to remain humble, and for continuing to seek after and speak the truth since your words will not return void (Isaiah 55.11). Your interview with Jared Yates Sexton was one of the very best I’ve ever listened to! We are in very troubling times! Your conversation about China’s growth into a world power reminded me of the mad rush to China around 2000. I managed 2 divisions of an international tech company at the time. I asked our American VP of Asia what would happen in 25 yrs when the West had built China’s economy. His stunned look told me he hadn’t even thought about it. His reply that “they’ll be grateful” was so ridiculous that I laughed. And now, here we are…I swear none of the tech world ever thought about the dangers. Just the money.🤬🤬
