The Zarna Garg Family Podcast

Family dinner table talk is dead. The new hangout for families is a shared WhatsApp message, it's a YouTube link, it's a forwarded TikTok. Join me in my new living room on The Zarna Garg Family Podcast, with my family members and other guests, as we explore modern life's most pressing issues like a modern family - through our own podcast.

Love this family so much!
Disappointing - shallow

The analyses of elections and politics have been so vapid and shallow and self absorbed I can’t listen to/support this podcast. I feel the family is so money driven and their kids values the same. Nothing about being kind, caring for others, empathy, being in it together. This is not a representation of Indian Americans that reflects most of us. It’s possible to be funny while also holding some values beyond money gathering. Some examples from the last one: 1) you say Trump has surrounded himself with successful people this time around giving you confidence. Who? Elon Musk? What is success to this family? $/power whether you’re doing the right thing? Who else? Anyone from the military? World of education? Science? Technology? Law? Nope. 2) self absorbed disappointment about the election- “Trump was able to get away with all of these things as a man, I cannot as a woman”. You’re sad that you can’t get away with bad things? What does it say about America that we’ve elected a criminal? Do you care about the implications for all Americans? 3) you shared an example of someone having to decide between going out for breakfast vs coming to your show. Everyone makes choices between luxuries. You can share what you heard but maybe figure out if it makes sense. People have economic struggles but how were they in 2022? How were they in 2020 as a very notable comparison? 4) you reduced the choice between the economy vs “women’s rights” - this is a shallow and incorrect analysis. You came to the conclusion that men have been liberated to put women in their place. No concerns with that one. 5) the example of your house employee who voted for Trump because he doesn’t like how his money is being spent. How will his money be spent now? It might be worth mentioning the new admin wants to spend your money to deport humans on the order of 15 million and at the cost of 300 billion!
