Why You Don't Need a Cofounder: Danielle Duboise, Sakara Life

Sakara Life founder Danielle DuBois is on the Female Founder World podcast with Jasmine Garnsworthy!

After reaching her self described “rock bottom” with dieting, Danielle and her childhood bestie Whitney created Sakara Life, a plant-based nutrition program that delivers meals to your home.

The company started at a dinner party. Daniella and Whitney hosted friends and asked them to buy into the business—this raised $700 and got the business started.

In this episode we dive into Danielle’s inspiration behind Sakara, how they found early customers, how Danielle would grow a new biz in 2024, and their current marketing mix (hint: Danielle has a podcast and is a bestselling author!).

How to Pivot When Your Biz Plateaus: Deco Beauty Founder Julianna Dahbura

How to Pivot When Your Biz Plateaus: Deco Beauty Founder Julianna Dahbura

Deco Beauty founder Julianna Dahbura is on the Female Founder World podcast with Jasmine Garnsworthy this week.
In 2016 Julianna started a nail polish brand with the hopes of building a direct-to-consumer business. This was the Glossier-era, besties, so relying e-commerce only and building a business on Instagram was very exciting. And although she was doing 8-figures in revenue with her biz Deco Beauty, Julianna realized quickly that nail polish was more of an impulse purchase than an online purchase. In 2020 she thought of a brilliant pivot... and it paid off in a big way.
Since pivoting, she's 3x'ed the already successful business, has launched in retailers like Urban Outfitters, JC Penny, Anthropologie and Free People, and has done collab products with brands like Hello Kitty, Tower28, and Lisa Says Gah.
Listen in for the full scoop, how Julianna made a major change in the direction of her business, how she's working on licensing deals to grow her biz, and her unique strategy for retail in 2024.

PippySips founder Amberlee Venti is on the Female Founder World podcast with Jasmine Garnsworthy!

Now seven years since having the idea, Amberlee’s company PippySips has been a massive success, with features across Vogue, Babylist and NBC, and a recent launch on Target.com!

At 23-Years-Old She Started a Biz With Her Mom, Now It Sells One Product Every Minute: Rachael Wilde, tbh Skincare

At 23-Years-Old She Started a Biz With Her Mom, Now It Sells One Product Every Minute: Rachael Wilde, tbh Skincare

tbh skincare founder Rachael Wilde is on the Female Founder World podcast with Jasmine Garnsworthy!
Coming from a medical background, Rachael had no desire to start her own business until she came across an insane opportunity to license a patented acne treatment and turn it into a brand. She jumped on the idea at 23-years-old back in 2019, and has since built one of the buzziest new beauty brands on the planet.
Rach's the queen of building brand hype and backing it up with brilliant formulas. After a $4000 launch day, tbh skincare did $800,000 in revenue in their first 18 months, and now sell a bottle of cleanser every minute.
This brand constantly goes viral, and I asked Rach all about it in this episode.
Listen in for the full story, how Rachael successfully merged tbh skincare with another business, how they've grown an incredible retail presence, and their influencer strategy.

POV: me binging this podcast!

Jasmine asks the exact questions we all want to know - and is so good at getting into specifics with her guests. She always has her listeners in mind - those of us who may just be starting out and need to get into the nitty gritty of how to launch a business. I cannot tell you how amazingly helpful this podcast has been. Think I’ve listened to 6 episodes this weekend. Going back to Ep 1 now and working my way thru. Thank you, Jasmine! 🤩

Amazing show for founders, by founders

This show gives lots of useful tips for founders, by founders. My favorite episode was with Kayla, the founder of Aguas Bonitas. As a latina myself it is inspiring hear how she created a product inspired by our culture, that is now mainstream and was missing on the shelves. This podcast asks questions that are relevant and informative for the modern day founder. My favorite topic is on social media marketing. It’s interesting to hear how different platforms and marketing styles can be used by brands to create success.
