Fresh Air

Still don’t know the story you’re talking about. The interviewer repeatedly gives her opinion and then asks atsko why atsko thinks the same. We need a different interviewer for atsko

I was very excited to have access to Fresh Air as a podcast since I'm usually working when the show airs. The interviews are great, but the editing has been disappointing. Segment changes are choppy and episodes often end mid-sentence. The Ken Burns segment of March 15 was a particular disappointment, ending less than 10 minutes into the episode. I love the show! I just hope the editing improves.

Terry, this was an outstanding interview. So much info I didn’t know. Especially so, the racial configuration of race-mixed marriage smacked against the 1950s post-war push for social conformity. What I find interesting was the drive to succeed by both people. I had no idea Desi could push the studios at that time and rather not assume a passive victim role but moved racist notions at the time and worked within the broadcast system. Those are big odds. I had no idea he was behind changes in tv production. Just a great interview. -my sympathies to losing Francis. ❤️

Finally someone pulls no punches on a NPR show, and tells the truth. Terri’s uncomfortableness was a bit cringy though not surprising. It’s probably past time to have a new host to breeze some “fresh air” to the show.
