Transform Dance

When harassment happens in the workplace, what if we could respond with a framework that prioritizes healing and transformation? Rather than responding with punishment and risk management, what if we focused on changing the conditions that enabled the harm in the first place? For the past year, Generator, a non-profit artist producer incubator, has run a pilot project offering transformative justice to dance workers in the Greater Toronto Area. In this series, we hear the voices of facilitators, participants, and organizers discussing what we learned, what surprised us, and how we can envision a future for this work within arts organizations.
