Trauma Recovery Yoga (T.R.Y.) is a socially conscious nonprofit organization that facilitates self-compassion and global healing through training individuals in the TRY method of yoga science. They aim to provide healing benefits to those that are suffering from the effects of trauma through self-regulation techniques that can be applied on and off of the mat. This approach modifies a typical studio class to adjust the parts that may be triggering to someone post-trauma. In this interview, I get to meet with the founder and creator of the TRY Method Joyce Bosen. We openly discuss her own traumas in her past that led her to create this method for herself, and how the practice came about.
