    Bill has received numerous awards for his trial advocacy. He was recognized in Top Verdicts in 2022 by the LA Daily Journal. He was named the CAL-ABOTA Trial Lawyer of the Year in 2015, and he has been named Trial Lawyer of the Year in other years by other bar associations including the Consumer Attorneys of Los Angeles, the Orange County Trial Lawyers Association, the Consumer Attorneys of the Inland Empire, and the Western San Bernardino County Bar Association.

    In addition to all this legal accomplishment, Bill is a professional kick-ass great guitar and pedal-steel guitar player.

    Brian Chase is the managing partner and senior trial attorney that heads up the litigation department of Bisnar | Chase, an eight-attorney AV-rated national law firm founded in 1977 in Newport Beach, California.     Douglas M. DeGrave is a founding partner of Poliquin & DeGrave LLP.  He has tried more than 100 cases to verdict or judgment and he is frequently asked to substitute into difficult cases at the last minute for trial. Doug specializes in the defense of personal and catastrophic injury cases, wrongful death, truck and bus accidents, insurance litigation, insurance bad faith claims and construction cases. He has also served as an arbitrator and mediator, privately and for the courts.

    Doug is a Diplomate in the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) and currently serves on its National Board of Directors. He was President of the ABOTA Foundation in 2021. In 2013, Doug served as President of CAL-ABOTA, where he led the effort to add a pledge of civility to the attorney’s oath. He served as president of the Orange County Chapter of ABOTA in 2008.

    In 2016, Doug was named the CAL-ABOTA Trial Lawyer of the Year. He was presented with the CAL-ABOTA President’s Award in 2014 for championing the cause of civility. Doug received the Orange County Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates Trial Lawyer of the Year award in 2011.

    Since 2007, L.A. Magazine has named Doug as one of Southern California’s Super Lawyers. Since 2010, Orange Coast Magazine has included Doug on its’ list of Top Attorneys in Orange County.
