3.4: Paid Ads for Beginners and Professionals - Social Media Workshop

You’re about to listen to the final part of our social media workshop. Please consider signing up for our newsletter by heading over to victoryordeath.substack.com!
Paid media is a strange beast. Those new to social media’s inner workings may think that Facebook’s “Boost Post” button means they can set it, forget it, and watch all the new likes come in. But, the ghastly nature of these social media platforms is to take from you and give to them, and that means for every paid ad, you’re losing money along with organic reach. Unless of course, you actually have a product to sell.
In this fourth part of our social media workshop, we’ll discuss when you should use paid ads on social media, most of the reasons you shouldn’t, and the best way to make money with your content if you decide to monetize. Are you more of a reader than a listener? View the transcript here.
If this is your first episode with Victory or Death! rewind back to our previous three workshop parts so you can have a better shot at succeeding on social.

Love Victory or Death!

I really appreciate the diversity in guests per episode, being able to get to know them and gain a new perspective on their field. Elijah (the host) does a great job of interviewing, he gives space for the interviewee to share while sometimes guiding the conversation. The episodes where both Elijah and Dan (the cohost) are sharing about there own journeys in content creation, are educational and entertaining. Altogether, I love what these guys are doing! I recommend giving them a listen!

It feels like a casual conversation

This podcast is a great mix of thoughtful content and entertaining conversation. The guys pace the time out in a way that I didn't lose interest but instead was excited to hear the next quotable sound bite. As a designer and content creator myself I found this podcast very motivating and also extremely easy to listen and understand.
