Absolutely Wonderful

This was probably the best historical documentary I have ever heard. The voices and stories of so many veterans was very moving. I would like to find this on CD somewhere for home listening. A wonderful job through and through by the BBC!

Very good documentary, I only wish it was on video.
Pleasantly surprised

If you enjoy a Ken Burns style documentary, you would enjoy this immensely. Well put together, great sequence and audio, and short, impactful episodes that allow you to digest he information from first source resources. A real treasure. I also recommend watching “They Shall Not Grow Old” (available for purchase on Amazon Prime and well worth the money) and you’ll hear some familiar voices. Thank you BBC!
Powerful

This is truly one of the most powerful and human of history podcasts. It is also wonderful that these old tapes are being reused. Yet another outstanding work from the BBC.
