18- Hording: What's Your Brain Looking Like These Days?

    What is hoarding?
People with hoarding disorder excessively save items that others may view as worthless. They have persistent difficulty getting rid of or parting with possessions, leading to clutter that disrupts their ability to use their living or work spaces.

Hoarding is not the same as collecting. Collectors look for specific items, such as model cars or stamps, and may organize or display them. People with hoarding disorder often save random items and store them haphazardly. In most cases, they save items that they feel they may need in the future, are valuable or have sentimental value. Some may also feel safer surrounded by the things they save.

Professional organizers will work with you to decide what you want to keep, and to identify where unwanted items will go. They will, in many cases, facilitate the disposal, donation or sale of belongings a client wants to part with.

I have so many great ideas but no idea where to start
I cant let go of this idea bc I may forget about it.

“This idea is incorporated in the KonMari Method as expressing gratitude to your belongings for taking care of you,” she said. “If you are letting go of an item, giving thanks is also a way of properly saying goodbye, so that you can mark the end of your relationship with the item and release it without guilt.”

17- Taking Ownership: Go deep with purpose, not just shallow with checklists

17- Taking Ownership: Go deep with purpose, not just shallow with checklists

So many of us want everything fixed in one go overnight. We think if we were just given the perfect schedule, parenting tip, or sales technique we'd be all set.
I've learned this is a lie our brain tells us. We often have everything we need already upstairs in our amazing creative brain. While it is great to continue learning and seeking council it is just as important to take the time to slow down and determine how we want to spend our time and if it aligns with who we are working on becoming.
It is my experience that getting deep on a few vital items is so much more powerful than being shallow on one-hundred of them.

14- A Great Stinkin' Life: Remember when you prayed for all you have now?

Sometimes it is good to sit back and reflect upon how far we have come! With busy brains it is easy to always be onto the next thing, I suggest we slow down for a second and feel gratitude for where we are and all that has come to pass that we once counted only as a dream.
