We Got To Hang Out is a podcast hosted by Christopher "Cree" Stricklen with a relaxed format and a big message. A goal of the show is to shed light on those who positively impact our community of cycling. WGTHO provides a platform for you to hear stories in a way you likely don't hear in mainstream media. A casual environment breeds authentic storytelling, so let’s hang out!
Episode 99 // Derek Teel of Dialed Health
Derek Teel is a cyclist and founder of Dialed Health, a health and fitness program. Derek has clients all over the world and focuses on coaching his clients into creating better habits that in turn promote a better lifestyle. Derek is also an accomplished downhill and enduro MTB racer which we discussed at length. It was great to have Derek share his expertise and share our similar disregard for boba… but to each their own. Enjoy.
Episode 98 // Rocket Rawrrs 2
Rocket is a cyclist, social media and brand marketer originally from the UK and now living in Girona, Spain. On her second appearance with WGTHO we caught up, had laughs and made a very special announcement that we both are very excited about.
Episode 97 // Payson McElveen
Payson McElveen is a podcaster, cyclist, gravel crusher and world traveler. After many moons of scheduling and chatting Payson and I were finally able to carve out some time to chat about the things going on in his life. His recent trip to Africa in the spring and how Payson plans to prepare himself for the reboot of the cycling season. Payson is one of the busiest people that I’ve had on the show so it was an honor to steal a little bit of his time to chat about all the things. Enjoy!
Episode 96 // Kofi Kyei 2
Kofi Kyei is back for round two! Kofi has come a long way since the last time that we spoke in the fall of 2020. The Ride 4 Unity community has grown tremendously in the last several months. Kofi continues to knock it out of the ballpark with his IG Live chats and a whole list of opportunities continue to arise for this incredible human being. We managed to sit down with Kofi at the perfect time to play catch up and see how he’s managing some of the new responsibilities in his life and how he’s managing getting ready for Grinduro Wales which is coming up in a few months! Enjoy.
Episode 95 // Mark Allen Alford
Mark is an elite road cyclist and track cyclist based in Los Angeles. Mark also is a Rapha Regional Marketer and co-host of the podcast From the Gun w/ Justin Williams. We discussed and recapped my recent visit down to LA and touched on some hot topics that we haven’t touched on as much in recent episodes. We finished this conversation with a bang. Enjoy.
Episode 94 // Chas Christiansen
Chas Christiansen is an absolute legend in the Bay Area and in general cycling counter culture. Chas has been a pioneer in the courier world by starting his own courier business (TCB) and then doubling down by creating his own tech platform to help support his business and other courier businesses around the world. Chas brings a very positive, driven attitude to everything that he does. It was a pleasure to finally talk to someone who has influenced myself along with so many other people in my circles. Enjoy.
I enjoy the different perspectives as walks of life from the various guests. I do think it a little funny though when the Host tells guests that he’s old when he’s only in his 30’s. Hahaha! Wait till you’re in your 40’s.
Great podcast with an approachable insiders connection to the sport
Love the Approach and Enjoyable
