Everyday listener turned hesitant
2일 전
I listen to the daily every day and have been a big fan for a long time. I don’t always agree with their coverage but have believed that they are doing their best. However, their coverage released today about the Lively/Baldoni lawsuit was so blatantly one sided and biased. It really turned me off from believing all they say.
Untrustworthy and self-serving

The NYT interviewing The NYT on the Blake Lively story they clearly got factually WRONG was just finally too much to stomach. Keep patting yourself on the back for being the ones who actually participated in a smear campaign. It’s sickening. When I look at the unserious, self-congratulatory, bubble-dwelling gaslighters at the NYT I understand why our country is descending into chaos. Absolutely disgusted.
Usually Love… not today

I usually love The Daily, but The Daily doth protest too much today. Covering only Blake’s complaint without covering Justin’s? Trying to defend yourself is more like it! I feel like The Daily is usually fair, covering both sides of any given situation. I’m disappointed in the one-sided narrative presented here, especially with none of the newer information and evidence included. It shows integrity to change your stance when you learn more… you owe Justin (and todays listeners) an apology.
Really?

I’ve been reading the New York Times for a decades. I’ve listening to The Daily regularly for several years. I never felt annoyed by the reporting of any particular subject until today when I listen to The Daily talking about a celebrity who admire, Blake Lively. I feel sorry for and yes, there’s a story there, but is that story really appropriate for the New York Times? Unfortunately, it was a serious circumstance, but not uncommon. Has The Daily become untethered - reporting on such a wide range of topics that its mission is lost. It’s horrible when people are mistreated in the workplace. However, that story isn’t critical to our daily lives in America at this moment. It’s not a unique story either. Unfortunately we’re heard it before with different set of victims and perpetrators. I look to The Daily to investigate larger concerns. Maybe I need to lower my expectations for quality reporting by NYTimes The Daily?
