Behind the Curtain: Life as a Harvest Mom

In today’s episode, I want to give you a peek ‘behind the curtain’, and show you what life as a harvest mom really looks like. I think most of us would agree that certain seasons in life have us juggling more ‘glass balls’ than usual, which can totally throw our homeostasis off kilter! If you’re a woman in a tough season right now (whether that’s harvest or something else), I want to urge you to PLEASE ask for help. You’re not a burden, and you can’t do it all! Modern motherhood feels so damn hard, because we were never meant to do all of this alone. We have to create these villages that we crave, and support each other where we can. I hope this episode encourages you to give yourself grace, embrace progress over perfection, and know that you ARE enough, friend. On the other side of that hustle, survival, and burnout is a life you can be obsessed with - I promise! In this episode, I cover: Why it’s okay to take a step back and not have a certain goal be top priority, all the timeUnderstanding that we ALL experience hard seasons, and admitting that we’re struggling won’t take away from someone else’s situationWhy we so often shove down and ‘pack away’ our emotions & feelings, instead of addressing them right awayThe constant praise for independence + realizing you don’t have to do it alone, and you’re actually NOT a burden when you ask for help Be sure to hit subscribe so you never miss the latest episode! 2. Cultivating Confidence, Sucking at Something New, and Taking Brave Action

    10 DE OUT.

Cultivating Confidence, Sucking at Something New, and Taking Brave Action

I’m very grounded in where I am now, but that wasn’t always the case. I know firsthand that this personal growth journey is HARD! We want our personal growth to be perfectly laid out with a set plan in place, but...it doesn’t work like that. Our personal growth and healing doesn’t have a certain ‘end date’; it’s more of a practice of trust and release to have faith in knowing that we ARE on the path that is meant for us, regardless of how long it takes!  In today’s episode, I’m talking about cultivating confidence, sucking at something new, and taking brave action. For me, my definition of success has greatly changed over the last year. As an Enneagram 3, I used to believe success meant chasing and achieving big goals so I would be ‘enough’, and people would love me. But no...it’s doing meaningful work that I truly LOVE, and is actually making a difference in other women’s lives! In this episode, I cover: Why your personal growth and healing journey doesn’t have an ‘end date’, and it won’t be laid out ‘perfectly’ eitherHow my definition of success has dramatically changed in the last yearUnderstanding that you can’t ‘magically’ create confidence, because it’s cultivated by taking brave, scary actionRealizing that you’re already capable and qualified to start doing that ‘thing’ that you know you’re meant to doThe beauty that awaits you when you come HOME to yourself + fully know, love, and trust yourself Be sure to hit subscribe so you never miss the latest episode! 3 DE OUT.

Morning Sun, Entrepreneurship with ADHD, and Burning it Down with Lindsy Trotter

I’m VERY excited to have a special guest, Lindsy Trotter, on the podcast today! Lindsy has become one of my ‘business besties’, and someone I’ve loved getting to work and connect with on a deeper level. Our paths have crossed in multiple ways this year; she joined one of my masterminds + we both joined Suzy Holman’s mastermind, and we have a LOT in common (kind of feels like we have the same brain).  Like so many of us, Lindsy has dealt with perfectionist and overachiever tendencies, and she loved checking ALLLL the boxes. As an ADHD entrepreneur who’s an Enneagram 3, she had accomplished so much already, but was not feeling fulfilled in her business. She was struggling with what to do next, and had multiple signs telling her that something wasn’t ‘right’ in her business, with her health, etc. Ultimately, she knew she needed to slow down, ‘unplug’ more, and make some drastic changes in her life. Now, Lindsy has a renewed sense of excitement for her business and what’s to come - she’s truly FLOURISHING! In this episode, we cover: Lindsy’s journey from teacher to entrepreneur, and the full-on ‘hustle and grind’ mode she was in as she built her businessWhen you’re misaligned/don’t know what’s next in your business, and feel like ‘burning it down’ is all that’s left to doWhy therapy and ‘feeling your feelings’ isn’t necessarily fun or enjoyable, but is crucial when you’re ready for the next chapter in your lifeLindsy’s upcoming course + what she wishes she better understood her first year in businessHow ADHD has impacted Lindsy + how she shows up in business Be sure to hit subscribe so you never miss the latest episode! Part 2: Why You're Disconnected from Your Inner Knowing, How to Know, Love, and Trust Yourself, and Developing Your Intuition

I’m excited to be back with this part 2 episode, all about WHY you’re disconnected from your inner knowing, how to know, love, and trust yourself, and how to deepen your intuition. If for some reason you missed part 1 (linked below), make sure to give that a listen and then come back to this one when you’re done! In today’s episode, I want to dig more into how to truly listen to your body and your intuition, and really, ways to do that in your everyday life. In this episode, I cover: Learning to listen to your body and get curious about your body languageSimple ways you can work toward better understanding and growing your intuitionWhy you need to stop overthinking your decisions and really tune into yourself, because you already KNOW what you need to doThe power that comes from embracing your true self, regardless of what anyone else thinks of youGetting super clear on what you actually need when you’re in a new/different seasonHow I’ve invested time and money into myself this year + why investing into yourself and taking risks truly comes down to your inner knowingGiving yourself permission to change and evolve + realizing that you’re NOT a failure if you need to pivot and try something differentHow to know when to slow down vs. when to hustle Be sure to hit subscribe so you never miss the latest episode! 19 DE SET.

Part 1: Why You're Disconnected from Your Inner Knowing, How to Know, Love, and Trust Yourself, and Developing Your Intuition

In today’s episode, I want to talk about WHY developing your intuition can be challenging, and really, how to rebuild and reconnect with yourself so it doesn’t stay that way. I’ve talked about this a little bit on the podcast before, but as I’ve continued going deeper on my own journey, I’ve found that coming home to myself and knowing, loving, and trusting myself is such a spiritual experience that transcends consciousness. Intuition isn’t ‘flighty’ like the typical dictionary definition makes it out to be, but rather, a beautiful GIFT! Tune in for this 2-part episode that will help you uncover why you're disconnected from your inner knowing, how to know, love, and trust yourself, and developing your intuition.   In this episode, I cover: Why intuition isn’t ‘flighty’, but is actually a deeper, spiritual experience that transcends consciousness and allows you to come home to yourselfWhy SO many women struggle with the concept of knowing, loving, and trusting themselvesBeing okay with not knowing/having everything figured out and asking questions about God, spirituality, religion, etc.The very ‘mixed’ messaging we receive regarding health and wellness, motherhood, business, and moreThe obsession we have with right versus wrong + actually ‘feeling our feelings’, so our emotions can move through us Be sure to hit subscribe so you never miss the latest episode! Pursuing Yourself, Walking in Alignment, and Balancing Consistency and Flow in Business with Suzy Holman

I’m BEYOND excited to welcome Suzy Holman as today’s podcast guest! Suzy and I have been connected for quite some time - not only is she a mentor and coach to me (I’m currently in her mastermind), but she’s an all-around special person I’ve been blessed to know. Suzy is a serial seven-figure entrepreneur, business coach, and mother of four; her journey actually started on Instagram as an ‘accidental influencer’. However...she quickly realized this was not the path she wanted to stay on. She wanted a space where she COULD be her authentic self, and once she chose to show up unapologetically in that way, everything exploded in her business and her life (in the best ways possible). In this episode, we cover: Understanding that maybe it's all about ‘unbecoming’ everything you weren't meant to be in the first place + the discovery of ‘discovering your gifting’Surrounding yourself with other women who are pushing through discomfort and chasing their dreams, regardless of their fear(s)What pursuing alignment really looks and feels like + giving yourself permission to ‘turn the page’ and change, because your life won’t always look the sameFinding your ‘flow’ in business + how the consistency piece tends to plague most business owners and leads to more resistance The beauty and safety that comes from truly knowing yourself, and the magnificent, ‘juicy’ life that awaits you on the other side3 steps to take to dive in and discover WHO you really arePursuing more peace and love instead of more numbers on a spreadsheet + putting love and time in the right order in your life Resources & Links: A Court of Thorns & Roses by Sarah J. The Lost Art of Using Your Brain Box: The Unshakable Calling for Diverse Perspectives, Empathy, and Critical Thinking

In today’s episode, I want to talk about the ‘lost art of using your brain box’, and why the unshakable calling for diverse perspectives, empathy, and critical thinking matters now, more than ever. For me, I’m questioning sooo many things - I feel a bit of a disconnect, because it’s uncomfortable, and I’ve still found myself thinking about other people and their opinions. Maybe you’re feeling similarly, because you’re questioning your thoughts and beliefs that you once had, but...you’re fearful to share, due to how others may react. But you know what? I’m so BEYOND the close-minded bullshit that we’ve been in proximity with for far too long! I believe our purpose and who we truly are is meant to evolve and grow and change. Every step of our journey will get us closer to where we’re meant to be, and surrounding ourselves with others who are doing things a little differently is a beautiful part of the process! I wish that more people today would be curious, because curiosity creates empathy. We NEED to be willing to learn from others and their diverse perspectives, instead of being so misaligned and disconnected. In this episode, I cover: My recent rebrand for my podcast and business + how it’s really allowed me to come home to myself, instead of staying in a specific ‘box’ I never truly fit inRealizing that your purpose should change, evolve, and grow, because every step of your journey will get you closer to where you’re meant to beThe deep disconnection we have not only from ourselves, but each other and natureDiscovering what empathy looks like when we choose to actually think for ourselvesBreaking free from the ‘cookie cutter, good girl’ mold you’ve felt trapped in, and instead, embracing your beautiful, weird, and multi passionate self Resources & Links: Gather in Growth Sponsorship InquiryBranch Creative CoBook me as a speaker for your next eventGather in Growth podcast produced by: Jill Carr Podcasting Connect with Emily: Follow on Instagram and FacebookJoin my email listCheck out my websiteConnect with on LinkedIn Be sure to hit subscribe so you never miss the latest episode! Functional Dentistry, Reclaiming Expectations, and Leveraging Your Spouse’s Career to Build a Six Figure Business with Eliza Clayton

I’m honored to welcome my friend, Eliza Clayton, onto the podcast today! Eliza has a pretty incredible story of (unexpectedly) turning her husband’s dental career into a booming, six-figure business, using social media, digital products, and more. However...Eliza grew up in a devoutly religious family, and after marrying young and having children, she felt like putting her family and their needs above everyone else is what her contribution ‘should’ be forever. Building a business (or anything of her own, really) was never on her radar. She loved supporting her husband, and she was taught to prioritize his dreams, no matter what. Eliza has learned some valuable lessons since stepping into business too. What you bring to the table does matter, and just because you don’t feel ‘qualified’ to do something, doesn’t mean you shouldn’t move forward, and take action! The success that this business has brought for Eliza and her family has tremendously impacted not only how she sees herself and her role in her family, but her overall confidence too. In this episode, we cover: Eliza’s journey of supporting her husband with his start-up dental practice, to unexpectedly blowing up in the online space & creating a thriving business for her familyThe expectations we place on ourselves regarding marriage, having kids, etc. + struggling with not finding fulfillment in what we ‘thought’ would make us happyWhat functional dentistry is + what actually causes cavitiesLearning to stand on your own two feet and making something your ‘own’ + finding your unique perspective that you can bring to the tableHow Eliza’s success has dramatically shaped how she now sees herself, her role in her family, & her confidence + the impact it’s had on her family Resources & Links: Gather in Growth Sponsorship InquiryBook me as a speaker for your next eventGather in Growth podcast produced by: Jill Carr Podcasting Connect with Eliza: Follow on Instagram @restoration.dentistryCheck out their digital productsFollow/subscribe their podcast, Dentistry Disrupted Connect with Emily: Follow on Instagram and FacebookJoin my email listCheck out my websiteConnect with on LinkedIn Be sure to hit subscribe so you never miss the latest episode!
