We've all been there. A casual conversation leads to a fond memory or a funny quotation, which inspires a truly heartfelt recommendation of something you [thought you] loved... Only to find out, it's not quite the culture-defining phenomenon you remembered. That's why we are revisiting our old favorites--the best things from our past, to let you know whether they’re the best things for YOUR future.

    Yum yum -- it's that time again! From the gritty Godfather to the ridiculous world of Alice, we are determining whether it's worth your time and tongue to revisit these nostalgia inspired foods. And honestly, it may be worth your time just to hear Josue's impression of Carol Channing.  We've got giant turkey legs, we've got cake, we've got a showdown between Reese's Pieces and M&M's...and it's all leading up to a homemade spaghetti sauce that will make your mouth water. So grab a fork, a knife, and a medieval-sized drumstick, and see whether you think your taste buds might be up for the challenge.  Do you have your own nostalgia-inspired foods we could try? Everywhere — ⁠https://WDYT.show ---------- Uncle Joe's Tomato Sauce 2 Cans Plum Tomatoes    - Italian n juice   - (You can also use 3 cans tomato sauce + 1 can tomato paste or diced tomatoes) 1/2 can tomato paste 1 Onion (medium) Chopped/diced 4-5 cloves garlic   - Mashed in a garlic masher   - Or crushed with teaspoon and chopped Hot pepper flakes   - Crushed red pepper Olive oil in sauce pan  - Saute garlic/onion - Season with pepper - (Potentially add 1 tsp salt for flavor) - (Can also add meat or sausage etc at this time) Add 1/2 can tomato paste + 2 cans tomatoes - Crush tomatoes before putting in - Add a little red wine - (Same amount of wine as tomato paste)      - (or water/sugar to balance out hot pepper) Oregano - sprinkle on top Fresh basil Grated Parmesan cheese - (A little handful) Let it “boil” - Add a pinch of baking soda - Then low and simmer for 4-5 hours - Stir frequently **[make noodles]**

    Today we look to the stars, but not before we clean the lasagna out of the litter box. That’s right, we are covering two nostalgic throwbacks! One is widely considered a classic, and the other flies a little below the radar. See if you can guess which is which. But lucky for us, both feature some candy, candy, candy, candy.  We’ll begin with a short, animated special that follows Garfield the cat on his very first trick-or-treating adventure. And he’s invited Odie, you and us along for the ride. After that animated appetizer, we revisit the Steven Spielberg + John Williams juggernaut, E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial. He may be ugly, but he’s endearing. Also kids in the 80’s were crazy. The era did bring us some iconic, cinema soundtracks, so we also have an audio quiz to get us in the mood.  We also mentioned a few links on the episode that we’ll include below. Jeff’s experience with this holiday—and with creepy movies—is pretty limited, so Josue thought this would be a good time to take a plunge into nostalgic horror with an iconic film from the 80’s. Child’s Play. Starring the one and only Chucky, ‘your friend to the end.’ We kick things off with a little quiz where Jeff gets to flex his new found knowledge about our friend Charles.
