When Godly Leaders Pray - Part 1

The Kingdom Truth

In this spiritually energizing episode, we learn from God’s Word, as children of God, we have a right and privilege to pray to God our Father. We gain valuable spiritual insight, revelation, and knowledge from one of the greatest leaders and prayers ever known in the Old Testament.

We also learn, as Kingdom leaders, we are held to a higher level of accountability and responsibility.

King David, a powerful servant leader, begins this powerful prayer with praise and worship. His immediate response to the generosity of God’s people is an act of praise, adoration, thanksgiving, and worship to the Lord. He teaches all Kingdom leaders that praise, and worship come before petition. It is our praise and worship that set the tone for prayer.

In the New Testament, Jesus also begins the Lord's prayer with praise and worship. This is a powerful Biblical pattern for all Kingdom leaders to adopt in our personal and corporate prayers.

In this powerful prayer, God is the central focus. As God's leader, David, does not focus on the giving, money, or the people. David extols, honors, and praises His all-powerful Creator.

David has an intimate, personal relationship with the Lord God, and, for the first time, he calls God his Father.  He takes his prayer to a deeper level of intimacy.

As a Kingdom leader, do you have a personal, intimate relationship with the Lord?

As a Kingdom leader, are you struggling in your prayer life?

Our prayer is that this episode will help us all, as Kingdom leaders in the Body of Christ, strengthen our prayer life and draw closer to the Lord!

We strongly believe in the power of prayer!
