In this awesome beautiful episode, Reverend Renece Weathersby shares her life's journey with us. She candidly addresses her life as a widowed single for 16 years. She addresses several issues and concerns facing singles today. Are you despising your singleness or any situation you are in, at this time of your life? Do married men see you, single godly woman, as someone to play with on the side? The devil is a liar! We pray you have not fallen into that demonic trap in the name of Jesus, Amen. Rev. Renece Ann Weathersby was born in Kansas City, Kansas. Her parents relocated to Chicago, Illinois where she and her brother were raised on the westside of Chicago. Rev. Renece was eight years old when she accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She was about sixteen years old when she really understood what salvation was all about. As a youth and teenager, Rev. Renece was actively involved in the choir, Sunday school, and missionary ministry. She always had a deep desire to seek the Lord and to know Jesus for herself. Rev. Renece got married in 1987 to Howard Eric Weathersby, Sr. They were married for 23 years before the Lord called him home. Before Howard’s passing, they both faithfully served in children’s church. She eventually became the church director and served in that capacity for many years. Rev. Renece was called to preach the gospel in 2002. She was licensed on December 25, 2003, and received her Certificate of Ordination on January 25, 2009, at the Christ Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church of Austin in Chicago, Illinois. Her scripture of blessed assurance to the call of ministry rests in II Timothy 1:9, "I am so glad that God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit hath saved me and called me with a holy calling, not according to my work, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given in Christ Jesus before the world began.” Rev. Renece is a mother and grandmother. She has two sons, Howard Eric, II and Samuel Hayes Weathersby. She also has five beautiful heartbeats that call her Grandma; Drayden, Anaiya, Raylan, VanessaRose and Lucas. Reverend Renece moved to Houston, Texas July, 2022 and made her membership at The Church Without Walls public, January 8, 2023. She is one of the campus leads for Firm Foundation, member of Kerygma ministry and serves monthly at one of the assisted living homes. Rev. Renece earned an Associate degree from Malcolm X Junior College in pre-pharmacy. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with a concentration in Elementary Education from Concordia University, River Forest, Illinois. She also earned her MACM (Master of Arts in Christian Ministry) from Northern Seminary, Lisle, Illinois in June 2024. Rev. Renece has been a widow for 16 years, and it has been some kind of journey.
